About what time should I expect our luggage to arrive on the Sky? I wanted to know if I could change for dinner since I just plan on boarding with my bathing suit and a cover up.

All drinks are include with all bookings on the Sky. Do they still have servers that come around the pool or do you have to go up to the bar?

We want to get a cab from the port. Is it better to get one that is waiting there or arrange my own? What type of cab do I look for?

This probably is a stupid question but can you use the pool after you embark?

I contacted them and they don't offer food or drink packages. Just $45 to use pool and beach.

We did British Colonial a few years back and it was nice with good food. We will be back in Nassau next weekend and after reading about Melia and RIU (or is it RUi?) I'm thinking of trying those. How far of a ride is it to both and about how much for a cab for 2 and do we need a ferry to get to RIU?

I prefer Melia- just a short $1.25 bus trip down to the resort and same back and if you get the option with the buffet it is really good with chicken, ribs, dogs, burgers, salads, pastas, pizza etc. and drinks. Three pools, beautiful beach and it includes the chairs/grass type umbrellas and towels. I used to go to the BC Hilton until i discovered the Melia. No comparison.
How long does it take to get there by cab? Also, do you know if there is other food to buy other than the buffet? Do they bring food and drinks out to you? Thanks very much!!

I will be on the Sky October 21 and we get into Nassau around 8:30 am but I can't find any information on what time the ship leaves? Does anybody know?

Great review and great pics. We are taking this cruise in November so I appreciate all the info.
When in Nov.? We are going the 30th.

Wow! What a great review and pictures! We will be sailing on the ship this Sunday for 7 days. I had a few questions.
1. Was there many umbrellas by the lounges. I didn't see any in your pictures. We don't plan to sit by the pools.
2. Do you need reservations to eat at the Sushi restaurant for lunch too or just dinner.
3. What times were the comedy shows?
I know you may not know some of these answers but I thought I'd ask anyway.

We will be on the ship by noon or so and I was wondering if anything else will be open other than the Lido Deck buffet?

Actually all cove balconies are on deck 2 or Main deck its a CAT 7 balcony that doesn't dictate the deck. Heres a video of one of the cabins you can always just google cove balcony and look at the images of the 2 to see more examples.COVECOVE
carnival dream balcony room notice the glass on the balcony
Yes, you are right. I just called Carnival and we are on deck 7 but just have a regular balcony. Sorry for the misinformation.
-
I had called Carnival about this and it is my understanding that the cove balcony is more private since there is a wall between balconies. As far as the coves being on lower decks I don't know about that but our cove balcony is on deck 7.

Never thought it would be such a hassle to bring some water onto the ship.
-
Also, we drink allot of water so we were going to bring a case on board. I read somewhere that some of the ships won't let you leave soda with the porters to be delivered to the cabin. Is this true on the Breeze. We were able to do it on the Inspiration a few years back.
-
YES.
We were in a Cove Balcony last August. There was a little fridge.
You can see our video tour of the cabin here:
Love the video! Thank you. Is there room in the fridge to store you own drinks?

According to this site...

Yes.
Very informative link! Thanks.

Does anyone know if the cabins have refrigerators?
