Great photos, Greydog and Sloop-John. Unfortunately, none of these are available for my upcoming cruise, so I had to settle for the regular size balcony. Life is tough LOL.

Deck 6 only
Thanks, cruisestitch!

On the Constellation, are there sweet sixteen balconies on Deck 7, or only on Deck 6? If they are on Deck 7, what cabin numbers are they?

I am looking at their "Other Side of Cozumel" tour, and wonder whether anyone has has any experience with this company.
-
I believe that you also have to pay a fee if you want to take videos, but it's a very small amount.

I've been to Tulum twice, and recommend it. It's not huge, but a good size with a variety of ruins and is walkable. And even if you don't go down to the beach, the view overlooking it is beauiful.

We are on MSC Divina for the first time this month. They upgraded us to a nice B2 balcony and we would truly enjoy having a glass of wine on that balcony. But how?
I am NOT INTERESTED in sneaking wine onto the ship. We have drink vouchers and the 7 bottle wine package (which is only good in the dining rooms).
Whatever type of cabin you're in, call MSC before you sail and order a bottle of wine to be delivered to your cabin before sailing. It will cost about $25, and you can drink it on your balcony or wherever you want.

It's a book of paper tickets. You hand one over every time you want a drink.
It's quite amazing that they still use those little paper tickets. Anyway, I have ordered that package.
Where do you pick up the paper tickets upon boarding? The last time I sailed on Divina, they sent me all over the ship to get the drink package that I had ordered, and I hope this next time won't be a repeat.

Cabin 10242 - Cabin Interior 191.8 sq ft (24.2 sq ft bathroom + 167.6 sq ft living space). Balcony is 42.0 sq ft. This cabin should also have a double sofa bed.
Bret
Thanks a lot, Bret!

Does anyone have the cabin and balcony dimensions of 10242?
-
marie would look stunning in a paper bag. She would have that wonderful dressmaker of hers fix it up and she would end up looking like this.
in the exact same bag, i would look like this:
as they say, it's not the dress, it's the hanger. :d
lol!

Bret,
Could you give me the inside and balcony dimensions of 10242?
-
There should be no difference apparent in the cabin or balcony sizes
Thanks! That's good to hear. The other cabin and balcony were just fine, so we should be happy with 10242 also.

Does anyone have info on cabin 10242? I stayed in 9235, and it looks like they're about the same except that the deck plan shows 10242 as having a double sofa bed. 9235 had a sofa. Would I notice any difference if I don't try to use the sofa bed? Are the cabins and balconies about the same size in both cabins?

The Miami Herald reports today that refloating is scheduled to begin Monday (depending on weather conditions and final approval). She's to be towed to Genoa and dismantled for "recycling."

Carnival Freedom, 6 night, dep FLL on 11/23 over Thanksgiving is $389 for solo fare! Wow! Even if you travel with family you could get your own cabin.
Sounds terrific! What category cabin is that?

We had rough seas also. I remember DH kindly keeping some older women from falling while ignoring me -- LOL.

The Hammocks are a schtick of most newer Carnival Brand Ships and branded Renovated Ships. There is a considerable amount of "Adult Space" being dedicated by Carnival to all ships in their realm, especially the Carnival Brand and the older ships with the 2.0 upgrades with Serenity Adult Only Decks. But on every Carnival Ship we have sailed on, we have personally found that other guests with inside cabins sleep outside each night, and take over the gorgeous hammocks as well as the hard to get Clamshells. Nice, right?
Only on the Celebrity Reflection, were there so many hammocks, that it became a "Who Cares" if we had one or not. This beached whale can get into a hammock, but good luck getting me out!
But, the hammocks are romantic and cool too. Nice addition to any ship, and so wonderfully relaxing. The best are the hammocks in the spa overlooking the aft outside. Now, this is for the "Expert" to tell us what ship has the magnificent outside Spa Hammocks in the aft. PS, it's a ship he's never been on!
Very interesting. But do many of them have hammocks on cabin balconies, as Aida apparently does?
-
Oh and don't forget those other lines that are soooo European in style, Princess and Costa.
Plus, Carnival has their new Mediterranean Style Cruise Line called AIDA, that is now in competition with.....who? Who? WHO? THE MSC CORPORTATION......Hmmm.
Is this true? Carnival owns Aida? We were docked across from an Aida ship on my recent Divina cruise in -- I think -- Cozumel. What I found interesting was the hammock on at least one of the balconies. I like that idea!

One more observation about the review -- I didn't see any problem with the elevators. They were usually quite fast and not full. Except, of course, when everyone was trying to get off at the same time in port.
-
I booked the classic package and it appears to includes juice but not champagne:(. I guess I will have mix it with sparkling wine :D.
The classic package includes Prosecco, so not to worry.

I was on the first week of this cruise, and agree with much of the review, especially that the ship is absolutely beautiful and the entertainment amazing! But I had a different experience with late dining in the Blue Crab -- our head waiter was very attentive, friendly, and efficient. I'd be happy to sail again on Divina; no major complaints.

They swipe your card and you also have to sign for the receipt. There is a 3 digit code on your card depending which all inclusive package you choose.
Yes; that's exactly what happens.

Thanks
It seems from other reports that Silver lounge @ 3-3:30 is the time set aside for cruise critic.
Since people aren't showing up,its doubtful MSC will send staff to the event.
Perhaps if MSC would send staff, people would show up. Which comes first?
Distance between Pedro St. James & Bodden Town
in Cayman Islands

How far is it from Pedro St. James to Bodden Town? Is it walkable? Or can we take a bus from one to the other?
