No. That was one of the reasons we have switched to balcony vs concierge- binoculars were useless, we didn't need the afternoon canapés and the sparkling wine wasn't worth it. Unless you are in the suite category, not worth the extra cost (imo-:)

Waiting at best western in seabrook. If anyone on the emerald now can update us when you get into port, we would greatly appreciate it!

We were on the Diamond in a mini-suite three cabins from the aft and the vibrations were horrible! I thought it would improve once we were away from the port but it did not. Finally had to move to a mini three cabins down- that one was MUCH better! Not always are other cabins available and they were very reluctant to move us but finally did (we were on a 16 day in Asia) LOVED the Diamond once we moved!

This is a silly question, I'm sure, but what do you use to tag the bottles? Are there luggage tags available at the check-in?

Is it easy to get a cab from the Bayport Cruise Terminal upon disembarking? It seems that often the ships are late arriving so am considering not pre-reserving a ride.

Took the tour on the Diamond. We thought of it as an "excursion" to justify the cost. So glad we did! Gives you a new appreciation for all that goes on behind the scenes!

Finally have an answer to these low prices..... apparently it's a Casino promotion available to 'select' Platinum+ passengers..... drat!! Guess I'm not 'select' enough :)

Wow! We are platinum and have been in the casino on occasion but what a surprise! We've been cruising on Celebrity recently so maybe this is a way to bring us back...and it worked! Thanks Mrs. Soup for solving the mystery:)

Saw this last night on Princess website through Explorer. It is still listed as such. I have the booking confirmation document. Now, that being said, after reading your posts, I went back and looked again. It is still there on Explorer but I went to Chrome to look and it has the $699 price you all are seeing. Sounds like a website glitch. Interesting!!!

Just booked a 7 night March 2015 cruise out of Houston for $120 per person- midship balcony! Don't even care where it is going! We will be needing the sun by then! Anyone else jump on this?

Thanks so much for all of the responses. When we first booked, there was a considerable difference in the price so we went with the veranda. Sailing on Constellation. Learned my lesson on researching cabin size! But can't wait regardless:)

This is our second cruise on Celebrity and we have booked a veranda room as we didn't see the need for the canapes, umbrella, etc. that we had on the first through Concierge. But I'm having second thoughts because I thought the rooms in both were the same size and I see they are not. Can someone do a room size comparison for me? Do you feel the space feels that much smaller in the veranda? Thanks!

Will be joining the Diamond for the first time April 1st (we have been on the Dawn, Island, Caribbean and Emerald twice) so can let you know after that. Also a 65th birthday present for my husband:)
