  1. Nellsmom58: One cruise line that has not been mentioned is Celebrity. They do cruises out of Vancouver, Seattle & I believe at least 1 out of San Francisco. Celebrity is using 3 different classes of ships. They use the Century-smaller ship. The Millennium which is their mid size class of ships. They are also using the Solstice which was the first of their S class ships-their largest.Alfred

  2. We are looking for advice on either of these two hotels for a 3 night post cruise stay in Seattle starting May 16,2014. We are looking at Hyatt Place Seattle-downtown & Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle-downtown. We don't mind walking to visit attractions. The Hampton is rated slightly higher than the Hyatt Place on Tripadvisor but lower on other sites. Any opinions greatly welcomed. Thanks.Alfred

  3. dileep: I have the fz70 & used it on our recent 10 night cruise on the Equinox. The 60x zoom works not only on IA mode but I just checked it with a couple of different options in the Scene mode & it goes to 60x here as well. I am very impressed with the camera. I purchased it with the long zoom in mind-went from a Panasonic with 18x zoom to this one. We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Ft Lauderdale & I was able to zoom in people on the deck of the Liberty of the Seas as she left port & also was able to zoom right in on the FlowRider sign on the ship as well. 4. I remember reading somewhere I believe on this board that there was a way on the Hilton website that you could go into to get some better deals. I believe that you had to be a member of their rewards club. Does anyone out there know where on this board that info is located. Did a search but couldn't find it. Thanks

  5. We used Thedford in 2008 & would definitely use him again. There were just the 2 of us since the others didn't show up. He asked us what we were interested in & when he found out that my wife liked pottery he took us to a local potter & we actually found some pottery that we liked. Eh took us all over the island & was polite & even took pictures of us at certain points & really knew the history of the island.

  6. roylalcruz: Do you happen to know the name of the little Italian restaurant on 17th near Bimini Boatyard & the Renaissance hotel. It is in a little strip mall & there is a Cold stream Creamery near it as well. We ate there last year but can't remember the name.thanks in advance.

  7. :cool:Sayvan:Thaks for the great review. We are booked for the Canal cruise from Ft Lauderdale to San Diego in March of 2012 so it was interesting to get ideas of what to do in some of the ports. It was interesting to read about your day with Rudy. We did a tour with him in March of 2010 while on the Radiance of the Seas Mexican Riveria. We actually had Rudy as our tour guide & we went to a Sea Turtle hatchery & got to release some turles. H etook us to a restaurant that had really great drinks. I liked your views of the fort in Columbia. It reminded me of the forts in San Juan & looks like a spot we will visit. Your review really helped since we are off for 14 days on the Connie from Ft Lauderdale on Feb 12. My dw thiks I take a lot of photos when we are on a cruise but you have taken about 4 to 5 times what I take. I also have the same camera as you & just love it. Have a great 2011. Alfred:cool:
