  1. Anyone stay in 7606? I already know it's small but how inconvenient was it and difficult? We don't spend a whole lot of time on balcony but we do stay all the time out there when viewing Hubbard Glacier in Alaska which is where we are going. We are out there on and off rest of time. As long as we can comfortably sit in the chairs is all I really care about. Husband is 6 feet tall. Any input would be appreciated!

  2. Ok big concern for me. Has anyone had 7608 on the hump of this ship and if so when you look down can you see the water or top of life boat cover. My son is scheduled to stay in this room and he will be upset with me if I book it and he can't see straight down to the water. I wouldn't want to look down and see anything but water like other hump rooms. I see a picture but it looks like it's over a covered lifeboat or something and not like the rest of hump rooms.

Last question....room 7606 has a very small balcony, is it doable or really bad for two people to sit and enjoy. That room would be mine and my DH. Thanks in advance.

  3. Anyone who has ever stayed in this room please let me know if the balcony is really as bas as it looks. I know it is very small but I mean can you even move? We have this held for an Alaskan cruise a year from now and it's all that's available on the hump. Thanks in advance for any info.:)

  4. Gambee please tell me...when you enter Horseshoe Bay Beach do you go right or left to get to the best area for snorkeling? There will be 6 of us, (one 13 year old) and we want to get there early to beat the crowds, say 10am. We would like to sit in a nice location close to water for swimming and playing but near the snorkel area. Don't know where that is. Please let me know if you go to the right or left when entering and facing water. Also do we need water shoes. TIA

  5. Gambee I've been to Bermuda 4 times and going again. Was hoping to find a nice beach with fairly good snorkeling as well. I've been to Horseshoe and snorkeling somewhere but can't remember where. i'd like to just do both at the same spot this time. Most people say the snorkeling is not that great though at Horseshoe Beach but it looks pretty good to me from your pics. Would you say it is a good spot to do both. I'll have my 13 year old grandson as well (first time snorkeling for him) as well as several adults and we'd like to do a little of both. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

  6. We have been to Bermuda 3 or 4 times and going again this August. The whole family goes and we all get the scooters and ride double. I couldn't even get my sons to take the ferry or bus if I tried. I ride behind my husband and we are now in our early sixties. My sons both in their 30's ride with their girlfriends on back. We love it. So much freedom to come and go as you please and see all over the island with no time restrictions. Yes you have to be careful and remember to drive on correct side of the road. I would never ride one but behind my husband I'm fine. I think they are well worth getting but you need to have common sense and drive carefully as you would anywhere. Oleander is right there at the Dock Yard and you can reserve.

  7. Budget Queen....Look after reading a lot of your obvious knowledgeable facts because you are fortunate to "travel" so much you don't always answer others posts and come across shall we say understanding or always kind of cut to the quick with some things. I'm not even referring to mine but over the few years I've read here I've seen it time and time again and thought "wow that's not what people want to hear" but always kept my thoughts to myself. It is wonderful to know so much but sometimes people aren't trying to be a smart....... or be a "know it all" but just delivering what their personal experience was. Yes I have been on tours here as well and so it is not just through the "booking process". That being said I wasn't trying to trash anyone but just telling what I had heard from others and what limited experience I had with the tour operators and yes I've had some:eek:. This gives folks a chance to know what's being said out there as well as actual experience others have had. If so many come back with great experiences that's wonderful and they can say so. Actually there aren't an overwhelming amount of posts on this company. when I first contacted them in 2008 I hardly found anything on CC. Since you "first introduced them to CC" you may have a certain loyalty to them and that too is fine. When posters ask for opinions on tours or tour companies we should each be able to pass along what we know without someone else jumping in and getting off track to complain about what info another poster gave that original poster who post the question. You can say what you want which you usually do but it is a rare occurrence when I get on here and post an opinion about any tour company or tour person. My first thought, is oh no someone will just come back and jump on what I said so I'm not commenting. Well here you go.

  8. Well Coolridge the boat owner of the boat is who I quoted and of course I wouldn't know for sure but then again no one really knows for SURE do they. He very well could have gotten more than he said but he sure was mad I know that. So just passing along info requested so poster can consider all when making a decision. If you don't agree with that then that's your right. Also our fee was more than $150!

  9. We are booked with them (Glacier Winds) for August and they have been absolutely wonderful in accommodating us. Has offered our choice in hot chocolate, sodas, water, tea, crackers, salmon dip, etc. Has always been very responsive. Teckk I haven't had good luck with as far as responsiveness and once before in 2008 they hooked me up with someone to take us whale touring and he was not very good. No bathroom on boat and very small. He asked what Teckk had told us the charge would be and when I told him he said he didn't get that but barely over half of it and was suppose to get majority of it all and he was very upset with Teckk so I could only assumed they took a big chunk of that and told him a falsehood as to what was charged to us. Also Teckk quoted us a higher price compared to other tour groups. Just got the feeling we were not handled fairly by them but that they might have taken advantage of the other guy.
