Thanks. I tried the link but got the same answer as I did several months ago - "Sorry we are unable to find your VIFP number". Maybe I will have to email or phone and give them the details. The reason I want to follow up on this is because we have a P&O cruise booked for May next year. According to today's announcement, it will be a Carnival cruise. Although I don't think it will make much difference during the cruise, I prefer to have my cruising history rather than starting out as a newbie.

P.S. I tried the Carnival site with my husband's details and, Lo and Behold! I have a number. I will still follow it through with Carnival.

Carnival have a different number from Princess and p&o

Same for me on my app, so I think I'll pass. I'll just check e-mails in port and read the latest headlines from back here. Just like the old days.

Does anyone know how much a single day costs? I'll need the last day and if anything comes up.

Someone posted on the Princess FB page it’s $20 daily for elites

    Hi All,

We're disembarking our cruise on Boxing day 26 Dec 2024 in Sydney OPT

We will probably be off the ship 9-9:30am? and our flight doesn't leave Sydney until 5:45pm

Our plan at the moment is to get train / princess shuttle bus to the airport, drop our bags off (check in?), then go from the airport to somewhere for shopping / sightseeing.

Is there any mall / shopping centre close-ish to the Airport? could we go to Birkenhead point factory shops from the Airport?

or is there anywhere else we could easily get to from the Airport?

    any advice would be appreciated

The cruise line should have a debark tour for airport passengers and give you a tour of Sydney and then drop you off at the airport

if you don’t want the tour there’s closer places in Sydney to store your luggage for a few hours

I felt that both prices you were quoted were wrong. The first one seems too high and the second one too low. I agree with 'resordanis' - book it for the 15 day cruise.

On a separate phone call enquire again about the price for the short cruise. You might be quoted a lower amount. 🙂

I’m not going to get the wifi for the 4 day cruise as we have stops in Newcastle and Eden but I got the good price for the 15 day one, $5 a day

Bob, if you have a 15 day cruise and that is the price, book now. There have been a few errors in the app on this cruise….one being two specialty dinners for $78, so take it what you can!

Thanks Cheryle with the 15 day cruise it works out at approx $5 a day

    nice bargain

I know I keep saying this,,,,, BUT why is there 3 princess cruises out of Sydney to Fiji in 2025, yet not even 1 from Brisbane?????

I know there is 1 Fiji cruise out of Brisbane by P&O, but what is Princess thinking that Brisbane only wants the same old ports, be great to have at least one more option than the same old same old.🤬

Princess is having one cruise to PNG in 2 years time but p&o go there quite a bit Brisbane and it would be nice if Royal can mix up the cruises a bit and go different ports instead of the same ones, South Pacific or Cairns

Thanks for letting us know about your experience, I have wondered about these theme cruises for a while and wouldn't mind doing an Elvis one with my mother-in-law as she should enjoy it.

I did see an Elvis performance on the old Sun Princess years ago and it was very good but I haven't come across one since then.

The Pacific Adventure is doing one from Sydney 4 night cruise to Morten island 10/3/25

as I said p&o do it well and with disembarking today they started about 6.30am and they had everyone just about off just after 8.30am

I did a b2b with a 3 day comedy cruise followed by a 4 day Elvis cruise and if you do a b2b they put an anchor on your new cruise card so you don’t have to get a tender ticket for going ashore
