We never use them either... The only time I put one on, it was very itchy. I am not sure if it was the fabric or it wasn't rinsed very well in the wash. Either way, it is very easy for me to bring my own :)
So funny. The robes we've had on Celebrity have been fresh smelling and wonderfully soft. :D

I find them too scratchy, unless you happen to get a fairly new one; remind me of old towels!
I use my swimsuit coverup as double duty, unless I am light on packing, which rarely happens, and then I throw in a light one from home.
Grandma Dazzles, this is a winner idea for the Caribbean. Thank you for the suggestion. Now I may ditch the lightweight robe I had packed. Not so good for Alaska ...glad I had the robe then and the lap blankets which I went immediately to the pool area and brought a couple back to our room :)
-
I don't think anyone really wants to pack a robe.Takes up too much luggage space. We always have used our robes as we sit on the balcony at night.
Yes, that's why I want a robe in the stateroom. They take up too much room to pack and we sit on the balcony when we first get up in the morning. We are not ones to jump out of bed in the morning, shower and get dressed. We like to enjoy that first cup of coffee on the balcony in our robes. No, we don't go running around the ship in our robes:p

You can still put the order form on the door and they will still bring a poot of coffee.
Thank you.
-
And I will bring you room service.
LOL:'):') I'll hide in the bathroom and make my husband go to the door ( in his sleep shorts).

There are some hot items you can stll get for free, like oatmeal. But only during the specified hours.
Here's the menu: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/data/dining/room-service/menu/In-Stateroom-Room-Service-Full-Menu-web.pdf
Thank you for the link. Can an order be placed on the door the evening before or is it necessary to call in the morning? Also, will they bring a pot of coffee with the Continental breakfast or just a cup?
-
Thanks everyone.

Is there a room service charge for a continental breakfast ?
-
Argh. ;) Now, I know why I travel Celebrity. However, thank you for your quick reply. Guess I will greet the room service in the nude.

We will be travelling on Liberty on January 21st in a balcony cabin on Deck 9. Is it true that robes are not included and have to be asked for with the possibility they may not be available.
We have travelled on Celebrity a few times and NCL once in similar accomodations (balcony) and robes have always been in the staterooms without requesting them.

Has anyone done this tour? What did you think? Also, what about the Legacy of the Maya: Ruins and Chocolate Tasting. I can't find any reviews on them.

Are there dance lessons on POA?
-
Thanks everyone for the reassurance that I am not going to have to pay $7.95 plus tip for one cup of coffee when I first get up in the morning.
-
It's nice to come in after a day of touring and pick up a snack/cookie/pastry/appetizer on the way to the cabin before dinner....doesn't sound like NCL has that.
-
You just dashed my hopes. This sounds like there is a $7.95 charge just for coffee!!!. That's what husband had read today. Why would I want to pay $7.95 for a pot of coffee plus a tip :( Need some advice from someone who just sailed in a balcony room...not Haven or a suite.

There were two trays of cookies out during snack times- between 3 and 4 pm and between 9 and 10 pm.
No venues with cases of cookies and pastries and appetizers to choose from??
-
Great news. I just care about my 'joe' first thing. :)
-
Ohh, I so hope this is correct. Husband just did a 'google' and said that there is a charge forALL room service. I just can't imagine having to go down to the dining room in pj's to get my coffee and carting it back to the cabin :)
-
ship?
poa
-
What time is the entertainment in the evenings? Are there two shows?
-
Am I going to have to pay extra for a pot of coffee to be brought to my cabin in the morning?
-
Thanks all for the great replies. We are looking forward to our cruise on the POA.
-
Are there free pastries and cookies on POA during the day at different venues like there are on other cruise lines or is there an extra charge for them?:)
What does the Classic Drink Package Actually Include?
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Just went on the Celebrity site and the Classic drink package did not indicate any alcoholic drinks included, only bottled water, soft drinks and specialty coffees. Is this something new? We are getting ready to book a cruise for this Fall and the perk is the Classic drink package. We do like the bottled water but we don't drink specialty coffees or soft drinks so this doesn't sound like much of a perk.
