  1. Ok even tho reading reviews late I’m going to give it a shot … SIL has done this cruise plenty of times and loves it … and she is VERY  picky lol

so my question is (SIL) didn’t have the answer so I’m asking here can we bring on water bottles to keep in room? Or bottles of wine?

Aah, memories!  We had Magner's cider on Seaside back in the day.  Magner's is Bulmers outside of the Republic of Ireland.  They then switched to Strongbow.  Not a good move!

How was your trip? How was check in at port ?

Interesting...my first cruise was in 2009 with RCCL and it was allowed then, so must have changed right after you sailed.

The atmosphere on Carnival is more that on the 3 and 4 day cruises, but, regardless, has nothing to do with the drink policy.

My point was you said you didn't know of a single cruise line that allowed it...I listed 2 of the biggest that do 🙂

There are probably others that do also...

And from another thread on here it seems that MSC allows it also, just not on embarkation day (i.e., fine from a port stop). Weird, but most MSC policies are.

I was on royal and celebrity 2018 and 2019 we were allowed soft drinks n wine to bring on board

My last cruises on MSC they allowed 2 bottles of wine per cabin per cruise to be brought on board for consumption in your cabin, or you could pay a corkage fee to drink it in the dining room.  Now they updated their condition of carriage document for alcohol as follows:

    13. Alcohol

    - 13.1

Alcoholic drinks, including wines, spirits, beer or other liqueurs are available for purchase onboard the Vessel at fixed prices. Passengers are not permitted to bring onboard any such drinks for use during the voyage, whether for consumption in their own cabins or otherwise. Alcoholic drinks in any form will not be sold to Minors during the cruise. When the itinerary includes a port located in the U.S.A the same conditions will apply for any passengers under the age 21.

Ok what about soft drinks ?

    Carnival allows this.

    https://www.carnival.com/help#:~:text=On embarkation day%2C a small,the guest's carry-on luggage.

On embarkation day, a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, energy drinks, juice, and milk), packaged in cans or cartons, may be brought on board and must be in the guest's carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less, per person.

    RCCL allows it too...

On boarding day, each stateroom may bring up to two 750 ml bottles of wine or champagne, as long as one guest is of legal drinking age. Corkscrews will be provided for guests to enjoy their drinks in their stateroom. If guests wish to enjoy their wine or champagne in our dining or bar venues, there will be a corkage fee applied.

Guests may also bring non-alcoholic beverages as carry-on items on boarding day. Non-alcoholic beverages may not exceed 12 standard (17 oz.) cans, bottles or cartons per stateroom. Milk and distilled water brought on for infant, medical, or dietary use are permitted.

So your saying msc will allow? I know when I went on their ship in EU we were allowed

We're on this cruise also and on the cruise planner, you can purchase a bottle of house sparkling wine for $17 or there are several other higher priced options with Prosecco, Asti, and other items included. Others may know for sure, but I'd guess these will be in your cabin when you arrive.

Yes I ordered for my room

I’m not sure what your comparison hopes to accomplish.  If success is determined by what ship has the most passengers, that’s easy.  The unregulated ship will, by definition win.  Because the regulated ship will require social distancing which would equate to fewer passengers.   If your standard of success is which ship has the most survivors, I think sane people will agree it won’t be the one that’s more concerned with the self involvement of personal freedoms and less about the safety and well being about the people around you.  The unregulated ship will, without doubt produce more corpses.

I don’t think so I would go on the ship that whether you’re vaccinated or not I don’t have to wear a mask as long as I wash my hands and do my own thing I’ll be fine besides all the alcohol everybody drinks will be immune to this damn virus anyway LOL

Was getting to ready to book 12 day cruise on MSC Divina for Nov 20. I called to complete reservation to use a FCC, we had already picked our room made travel plans, etc. Fortunately they were very busy with a long hold time during which they said to read the covid info on the website. I read the notices and the very last one stated that Fully Vaccinated guests would be required to wear a mask inside and all public places. I then asked the representative if this is still the case. She replied YES. I said No thank you. We wont go on a cruise that requires passengers to wear a mask.

    Good for you …

When one is on their cruise, worry about the safety of your vehicle can be avoided. Parking at the port is a safe solution and the cost is part of the total for your cruise.

I agree it’s only 22$ a night … if you can car pool share the expense

  10. Soda and water are fine, no regulations on glass or can. I usually put a luggage tag on a case of water and it is delivered to the room. Don't drink soda.

When was the last time you cruised on the ship?

Are you sure we can bring water bottles in board someone one else told me no that's why I'm double checking
