I too bought the plastic things from Cruise Critic..... saved time at the port. The porter was trying to complete luggage tags on the group ahead of us and it seemed to take forever.....of course I was ready to board and everything seemed to take a long time.

Am I understanding you both, that if you want to walk off with your luggage, you have to walk down 2 flights of stairs? Are the stairs on the ship or in the terminal that you have to walk down?

There is a price watch website (which I can't name but you can google for) when you click "finder" then on the left side drill down to your cruise line, ship then cruise type (by number of days) it will show the dates & %.

What was the earliest time passengers were able to walk off the ship when returning back to port everglades?

What terminal at the port did you leave from?

We were on the Allure and I have a few pictures of the RP from Crown Bay (using the incredible 60x1 zoom of a high end Lumix bridge camera) as well as some shots of the Allure and RP docked together in St Martin.

 

I'll post them in a day or so now that they have been offloaded to my storage external hard drive. First I have to set up a Flickr account.

 

This was the 12/8 sailing with the snapped cable on Life Boat #1 that delayed us getting to St Thomas by a few hours. Look at picture # 3 and you can see the empty davit at the front of the starboard side.
