Hello Emtbsam,
As a Guernseyman, I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed your short visit to my island.
My wife was the tourist guide leading the Culture tour and attended the reception afterwards. She said it was wonderful to meet you all and she hopes that everyone found our WW11 history interesting.
My parents were here during the 5 years of German occupation and life was not pleasant under foreign military rule.

PS We join the Wind at the end if the month

We stayed here after our cruise last year.
It's unpretentious, in a side street and well located within walking distance of many of the 'attractions' and has very friendly and helpful staff.
Whether they will do a day room... ?
However, we would definitely stay there again.
Enjoy Istanbul - we did!

Herman, apologies, I missed that. Thank you.
Wripro - I whole-heartedly agree with you and I could add lots of other things, the absence of which, I value.

Thanks Scott - yes I have cruised with Colin before and I agree with you - we are really looking forward to the cruise.
Still curious to know if the Artists of Silversea will still be on board??

Herman,
Do you happen to know when the contract with 'Artists of Silversea' is ending?
We are joining the Wind next month and I hope that they will still be on board.
I agree with you - they provide good entertainment and are very personable young people.
Gollane - who was the Cruise Director on your cruise?

Having just returned from the Venice to Rome cruise on the Wind, I can reassure everyone that the ship is in fine condition and the staff, service, food and wine were all up to the traditional Silversea standards.
My wife and I had a wonderful cruise with interesting destinations, but the jewel in the crown was Kotor - what a beautiful and fascinating place to visit.
Colin Brown was the Cruise Director and he made the time on board great fun - especially the Trivia sessions!
The Artists of Silversea provided some excellent shows - I am sorry that their contact is about to end. We did miss the Poolside BBQ and entertainment - can't quite understand why this has been discontinued.
