Living in Central Florida makes cruising easy, but we still have traveled for quite a few cruises as needed. But we are definitely able to take advantage of short bahamas cruises when we need an easy getaway!
-
2 bathing suits is a must, sudafed(behind the counter) since I can never seem to find the strong stuff once I leave the states, beach bag, a lot of singles for tipping!
-
Thank you all so much! We do have an amenity confirmation email, so hopefully that will be sufficient Incase we get onboard and this all goes to ****!

Hey looks like we'll be on the same cruise! See ya there!

Great question! I'm curious as well!

Question- we sail on Feb 24 on the Epic, have a group rate through our friends wedding. Online it is not showing our 2 perks we selected- UBP w/o grat and free daily gratuities. We've called our group consultant and she said everything was on there, I'm just super worried we'll get on the ship and have nothing as this lady as so far been an idiot! The NCL website is still prompting us to buy the drink package and prepay our tips! Help! Anyone else been in this situation? This is our first time on NCL.

Never sailed norwegian, but as most cruise lines follow the same practice- I miss free room service!!!

We ordered t-shirts from uber prints. It worked out to 20something a person because we had each one individualized and a different color, different name etc. If you get them all the same its a bit cheaper.

Sorry - everything I have that wasn't posted are blurry shots of bar menus only. More pictures are definitely in the cards for our next trip.
The buffet and the MDR had different evening menus - so for example, the buffet might have had Indian or Mexican food specials, as well as standard buffet items. The MDR would typically have different varieties of pasta, steak, fish and a vegetarian selection. In MDR they additionally had about four or five standard entrees that repeated each evening.
Both MDRs (Taste and The Manhattan Room) had the same dinner menu each night.
Taste had a very similar lunch menu each day - it was close enough that I didn't notice a difference between the first day and when we went there later in the cruise. The Manhattan Room wasn't open for lunch, if I recall correctly.
Thank you for the reply! Excellent to know. Another question- I heard there were themed parties? Did you attend these? If so how were they and did y'all dress up at all?

Wonderful review, thank you so much. I will be taking my first NCL cruise on the Epic in 2 weeks with a bunch of friends, and we are very excited! I was curious if you have anymore images of the menu's? Also did you notice if the buffet food during dinner has similar food to the MDR? And do both MDR's have the same menu or is it different? Thanks so much!

Thank you for the amazing review! We're going on the Epic at the end of February, and were all a bunch of younger folk- ranging from 24-32, so it was awesome hearing a review from someone in our age group!

Im quite shocked they even let you book it, but since you said the ship is sold out, that makes sense. The odds of them moving you are slim, unless there is a problem with someone else's cabin, or someone gets injured pre-cruise and is now disabled and needs to switch, or something similar.

Free gratuities was offered as an option for our upcoming Feb 24th Epic Cruise. We were able to pick 2 and chose free grat and the UBP. Amazing deal. Inside room, we paid a total of 711 per person (2 per room). We are also part of a wedding group and have a reserved block of rooms etc so not sure if that affects our offers/rates.

It really just depends whether CBS or FOX has the double header that day. If its fox, then likely it will be shown. But dang what a horrible 4pm game that day.

Yay! so happy to hear the HUB app will be avail september 1. sailing the victory for a weekend getaway at the end of september. sad to see it doesn't have any other modern updates like the other ships, but oh well!
-
We have a balcony booked on the Victory for next month with 5 of us! Its just a 3nighter but they have 4 nighters too on that ship. Keep an eye out for the ship because they do allow 5 in some balcony cabins! We have 2 twins/1 king, upper bunk and lower sofa bed and there will be a pull out trundle bed too.

We've done 2 southern caribbean cruises on carnival from puerto rico where some passengers got on and off in barbados. Both times it was only a few families from what we saw.
Side note: these cruises were some four favorite, enjoy!

Thanks for the review! Sailing for 8 nights on the Splendor in a week!

I'm quite curious of this as well. Couldn't find a menu from the wine bar at all.

Hmmmm... I really want these but my ship leaves May 7.. not sure how quickly they would arrive :/ not sure if its worth spending hundreds for a chance I may not get to use them anytime soon...

Hate Labadee. Couldn't find a working toilet there last year in March. We were sailing Celebrity, loved the cruise, but man that place was awful for how much we paid to be there. Immediately left to go back to the ship since I couldn't even relieve myself on the island anywhere!!
Absolutely LOVE castaway cay.
Cruising with teens on a separate deck?

While I’m currently in my mid twenties, when I was a teenager I sailed with my cousin in a cabin that was decks away from my aunt and uncle/his mom and dad. We were around 13-14 and didn’t have any problems, we had both sailed plenty of times before, and still do. We spent some time in the kids club and with his parents and on our own all over the ship, and there were no problems except one night the ship was so rocky the elevators were closed so my aunt got a bit panicky because we weren’t in the room when she tried calling, but we got in touch within the hour and all was fine. Now a days being able to text each other on the ship you can be in instant communication anywhere, I see no issue with them sleeping on the other side of the ship. But then again, speaking not a parent, but someone who was in your kids shoes 12 years ago or so.
