  1. While I’m currently in my mid twenties, when I was a teenager I sailed with my cousin in a cabin that was decks away from my aunt and uncle/his mom and dad. We were around 13-14 and didn’t have any problems, we had both sailed plenty of times before, and still do. We spent some time in the kids club and with his parents and on our own all over the ship, and there were no problems except one night the ship was so rocky the elevators were closed so my aunt got a bit panicky because we weren’t in the room when she tried calling, but we got in touch within the hour and all was fine. Now a days being able to text each other on the ship you can be in instant communication anywhere, I see no issue with them sleeping on the other side of the ship. But then again, speaking not a parent, but someone who was in your kids shoes 12 years ago or so.

  2. Question- we sail on Feb 24 on the Epic, have a group rate through our friends wedding. Online it is not showing our 2 perks we selected- UBP w/o grat and free daily gratuities. We've called our group consultant and she said everything was on there, I'm just super worried we'll get on the ship and have nothing as this lady as so far been an idiot! The NCL website is still prompting us to buy the drink package and prepay our tips! Help! Anyone else been in this situation? This is our first time on NCL.

  3. Sorry - everything I have that wasn't posted are blurry shots of bar menus only. More pictures are definitely in the cards for our next trip.

The buffet and the MDR had different evening menus - so for example, the buffet might have had Indian or Mexican food specials, as well as standard buffet items. The MDR would typically have different varieties of pasta, steak, fish and a vegetarian selection. In MDR they additionally had about four or five standard entrees that repeated each evening.

Both MDRs (Taste and The Manhattan Room) had the same dinner menu each night.

Taste had a very similar lunch menu each day - it was close enough that I didn't notice a difference between the first day and when we went there later in the cruise. The Manhattan Room wasn't open for lunch, if I recall correctly.

Thank you for the reply! Excellent to know. Another question- I heard there were themed parties? Did you attend these? If so how were they and did y'all dress up at all?

  4. Free gratuities was offered as an option for our upcoming Feb 24th Epic Cruise. We were able to pick 2 and chose free grat and the UBP. Amazing deal. Inside room, we paid a total of 711 per person (2 per room). We are also part of a wedding group and have a reserved block of rooms etc so not sure if that affects our offers/rates.
