I was in Sydney about a month ago with some friends we were not sure if we were supposed to wear them or not and thought we stood out a fair bit as tourists as most times we were the only ones or one of the few that were wearing the masks 😂.

Fantastic game. Will be interesting to see if Greene plays next week though

Thank you Hoopster95 that is just what I wanted to see. He will love it and so will the rest of the family. Loved following your trip. Safe travels.
Oops. Just read the fine print re heights. Looks like the slides will be out but hopefully he will enjoy the other section.

Thanks everyone for such an amazing thread. Just wondering in regard to the kids pools is there a minimum age or height. Looking at doing this with our grandson who will be 2 1/2 and thought I read somewhere that there were restrictions. Wouldn’t take him in the main pool but hoping he can go in the kids pool.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I had creme brule 3 weeks ago and it was great! I took the recipe and made it myself. It actually came out very good. But it was in my home and not on a ship....😀
I loved the Celebrity creme brûlée and didn’t know you could get their recipe. Are you able to share it please. I am sure all recipes will be pretty similar but especially if they no longer make it it will bring back nice memories of cruising.

Is pie day in the notices or do you have to check each day.

Hello all, thinking of making a group booking (8 cabins) and have a few questions if anyone has experienced this. The booking will be for either 2019 or 2020 so there is some time:
1) If booking is for eight (8) cabins, what is the usual (not guaranteed) cabin pricing for verandahs?
2) Is this a fixed discount % or is there a formula applied?
3) Can the cabins be mixed, i.e. 1A, 2A, A2, B2, C3, C2 etc.??
4) If initially booked with X, can the reservations be transferred to a TA without issue or is it better to just book through a TA?
5) Is it possible to not apply the discount up-front, in case we lose a cabin or two along the way and apply it at just before sailing (this may be an X or TA question only, to be sure).
6) Any thing else I have not thought of before taking on this task....
TIA - bon voyage
I am glad you have asked this as I was going to ask the same questions soon. The only thing I was also wondering about is if anyone knows if there is any advantage to making a group booking onboard.
Thanks for any help out there

Thanks. I might try that next time. A pity you can't recommend who you use though.

Which cruise are you on?
We book all our Celebrity cruises in the US (we are from Perth). Pricing is 99% of the time cheaper (taking foreign currency exchange etc into consideration). Price drops prior to final payment (unless conditions state otherwise - ie for new bookings only) are as simple as emailing the agent we use. Never been knocked back.
We are on Southern Caribbean 1st April. Under manage reservation it states cancellation less than 150 days before departure lose deposit. I have previously been able to claim price drops between 150 days out and final payment but it appears they are now classing that as cancellations. Price has gone back up now anyway :(

Thanks for responses. I might give them another call and if answer is still no then all good as am going on a cruise so nothing to complain about.

We have a cruise booked for April with final payment due in January. Our cabin has dropped over $1000. When I rang up to get the drop I was told I would lose the $800 deposit as I would have to cancel the old booking and make a new one. As my old booking also contains $400 OBC which I would lose it is not worth doing. Has the way Celebrity handles price drops changed as I am sure this was not always the case and the booking could be repriced and not cancelled. Just curious really as I know I was happy with the price when I booked so shouldn't really expect the drop.
Thought I would be better posting here as different rules for different countries.

Thanks everyone for your replies. It is greatly appreciated.

I have heard or seen somewhere that there are coffee machines in the JS on RCCL. We will be on Voyager in a couple of weeks and I would like to know if this is correct and if so what sort of product I need to take. I am not much of a coffee drinker but DH is. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

OP here. Sorry I hadn't realised this thread had picked up again. I probably should clarify as I didn't make myself very clear before. There were probably 2 separate queries I had. One was which would be the better cruise and from all the replies it looks like the ABC is the way to go. Thank you to everyone for your input. The other was as we intended to do a bit of touring before and after the cruise if spring break would affect some of that. Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles etc. We have decided to go ahead with the April cruise and really looking forward to seeing some more of your wonderful country. Thanks again to everyone here on CC

I know it sounds strange but the Salisbury YMCA is a great place to stay in Hong Kong. It is above the YMCA and has great rooms overlooking the harbour and light show. It is also close to ferry terminal and HOHO buses.

2018 Asia cruises are only out up to April. Voyager, Mariner and Quantam who are all doing Asia this coming Aussie winter are not showing anywhere for winter 2018. So I assume they will be released later as they were for this year.

Thanks everyone. The ABC cruise is booked. Time to start looking into tours. Calabaza does look great. That might have to be the first booking. Gotta love CC

Thanks everyone. It looks like the 14 day ABC is the one to do. I appreciate all your advice. Roll on 2018.

Longer cruises tend to have fewer children and teens in general. Celebrity fewer than some other cruise lines, such as Carnival, NCL, and RCL. After so much traveling, you might be ready for a relaxing cruise, which either itinerary would give you. I personally like the first itinerary -- but agree that not knowing your interests it's hard to have an opinion.
Thanks Barbara. 14 days on a cruise has to be better than 11 :)

It would help if you tell us what you are interested in. Beaches? History? Snorkeling? Shopping? Local cuisine? Arts and crafts? Hiking?
Funnily enough I didn't even think of matching itinerary to interests. Thought more of looking for things to do once I knew where we were going. Probably more into snorkelling, cuisine and a bit of history.

We are in our mid fifties and have travelled and cruised a bit but never been to the Caribbean. We are trying to decide between two cruises for next year. One is a 14 day cruise leaving Miami on the 1 April visiting Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. John's, Antigua; Castries, St. Lucia; Bridgetown, Barbados; Kralendijk, Bonaire; Willemstad, Curacao; Oranjestad, Aruba
The other is an 11 day cruise leaving Miami on 14 May visiting Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas; St. Croix, U.S.V.I.; St. John's, Antigua; Bridgetown, Barbados; Castries, St. Lucia; Philipsburg, St. Maarten.
I know it is a fairly subjective question but would appreciate people's thoughts on the different itineraries and times of year. We were also thinking of spending about three weeks touring before the cruise and believe spring break is around that time. I must admit our knowledge of spring break is from 70s movies 😄 so not sure if that needs to be taken into consideration when choosing the cruise.
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Live seat plan

I know but the annoying thing is when you look there are single seats dotted all over the place. I assume they must only allow a certain number of them
