We just returned from St. Kitts and used Royston's tours and it was absolutely fantastic , call it a little more adventurous and less luxurious , but just the best , and Royston is a great guy and knows his land well. We saw places that I am pretty sure that most folks don't.:)

Hi , in my opinion , its not the ship...its you !!
Do what makes you relaxed , the ship is wonderful in many ways, we spent two weeks on her last year and i was very relaxed most of the time...even if trying to keep up with everything:D
Bottom line to me is that you and yours call the shots , have a great time whatever that means for you.Find your favorite bartender (if you drink) or your favorite quiet corner ,see some shows(we loved Spectra's cabaret) there is plenty for all.

my sister & I joined our parents on a cruise from Bermuda to NY in 1959, it was like sailing on the Titanic. We had a small cabin with a porthole, 1 dresser and two beds, bathroom was down the hall. The ship was the Queen of Bermuda and have a photo of her on the flip side of our menu. 7 laps around the deck = 1 mile. Dad & I got to see the engine room.
very cool story gay , i would love to see an engine room:)

hilarious picture:D
curious , was pat and her people on the ship , or was the ship just serenading her as it went by her condo:confused::)
either way, awesome story:cool:

It's beyond my comprehension that they did not offer a Chicago Dog.
unless its changed , i am equally amazed they had no chili dogs either:confused: , on allure i grabbed coney dogs and ran up to wipeout for the closest idea i could come up with...chili type thing at taco bar to put on my coneys:D:o

my worst mistake , on alaska cruise , you know, the cruise where you wanna take a zillion pictures....forgot the charger to my camera:eek:
1 day in the cold and it was dead:(so trying to find a very special disposable battery in the town of sitka was a load of fun, finally found one even after the store clerk said "nope,we aint got one of those"

we have not been yet, but i can confirm that in anthem cabin 6660 , the bed is by the bathroom and sofa by the slider:)
dave
-
well that was kinda difficult , but will work
for me the obstruction is acceptable for sure ,for the big balcony and convenient location
hope this helps someone else decide if cabin 6660 is for them

thank you for the reply , but still looking for 6660 specifically:)

hello all , might anybody have a picture of the view from cabin 6660 on anthem of the seas , i have found one for quantum but it appears anthem has an additional life boat located just about right there:rolleyes:

wow cruisewithh , you had all the worst luck on rci:(
this is obviously not the norm,or they would be out of business...we have several cruises with rci and every time our water/soda make it to the room just fine(except one time i was called to naughty room for inspection-no alcohol ,no problem)and very rarely hear "no" ...daquiris no problem...fridge-always had one:confused:
sometimes the planets just line up-against you:eek:
anyhoo , enjoy future cruises

we have done both , very limited princess knowledge , but without a doubt you will like rci i think:)
princess is likely the winner with MUTS and alaska itinerery ,royal does not do their big outdoor screen as well as princess, kinda frustrating...and also royal does not go to glacier bay which is a big downer
our next alaska trip will be with princess for sure, but that is likely years off
if it fits your schedule, give rci a try....you can decide for yourself if you like them, and i sure dont think you would regret it even if its a one time thing;)

welcome to your new addiction :D
lots to learn and share , dont let the "haters" get to ya;)
dave
-
certainly other lines do it, royal caribbean for example does;)
but , if you are into it , i suggest doing some research on doing the denali land portion on your own
june 2013 we did northbound route with royal , then did 5 days inland with a rental car.stayed at neat private cabins in glacier view and denali area.we were able to do things at our own pace and it was outstanding:)
alot of planning is involved , but if thats your thing you will love it
enjoy whatever you decide

i agree that they are pricy for an OV , but it still would have cost us about 80 bucks more for a balcony , and i love this location (i think) plus the savings will pay for our night at the crown grill incl drinks:D
upon my return i will post a short review to let the CC forum know more about this cabin category
dave
-
well , i think they may be confused , if you look at lido deckplans on grand, they have a skinny hallway where 3 of these superior OV rooms are, plus a grand suite (on both port and starboard)
the sister ships have balcony rooms in these locations. there may be cabins like this on the other ships perhaps, but not in this location to the best of my research;)
i dont know princess ships as well as many folks, but pretty sure i am right on this
dave:)
-
okay , that worked....the elusive photos of L306 (same as all 6 of the superior OV rooms on lido deck:p
note...this is exclusive to grand princess only if i understand correctly
looking forward to it
