We are on an Allure cruise next March that stops in Cozumel. We booked the Chichen Itza by air tour offered by Royal. It’s pricey but saves the long travel time to the ruins.

I was planning on doing this for my December cruise and had been watching the price. Unfortunately a few weeks ago it just disappeared from Cruise Planner, so I guess that is out. I definitely don’t want to do the by land one.

  2. On September 9th we got word that our Labadee and San Juan ports were changing to a Sea Day and St. Maarten.

I had an excursion booked on Cruise planner for Labadee.
I still haven’t received a refund for it yet? Is this normal, and by what time should I contact Royal if I haven’t gotten it yet?

Also, I have a TA, but I booked the excursion myself. Do I still need to go through my TA if I want to contact Royal about it?

    Thanks everyone ☺️

Our December 11th Symphony cruise has the same changes. I saw on another thread San Juan has an issue with some work being done at the pier. I’m happy to go to St. Maarten instead. Bummer to lose Labadee to a day at sea instead but understandable under the circumstances.

The Dec 11th was the one I was referring to 🙂

  4. I wanted to book the Chichen Itza by air - about a year ago Royal had it through them for about $480 a person but I waited too long and now the price is around $680 and doesn't look like it will ever go down. Although I like the peace of mind booking through the Cruise Line gives, I really don't want to spend almost $1,400 on one thing. On Cancun-Discounts they are offering it for $420, but I obviously don't want to buy it if it isn't legit. Has anyone used this website before and can give their experience?

    Thanks!

  5. Thanks everyone! I just realized that if I edit my check-in through the website instead of the app, I can actually choose a photo saved in my phone. So I replaced all our photos, lol. If they have to retake them, that’s fine! If not - at least it doesn’t look like the world’s worst drivers license photo.

  6. Is the photo that you take during check in used for anything other than internal on their part? Last time I was on a cruise was 2008 so there wasn’t all this then.
I am only asking because my picture definitely isn’t the best, lol, and I think I would die if it is printed directly on my set sail pass. Does it come up when the crew scans it, like if I am buying something?

    Thanks!

If there's a LA (loyalty ambassador) onboard go ask them to do it...You'll get a quicker adjustment (answer if that's possible) that way I believe.

Thanks! Would you suggest to talk to them on the first cruise or the second (since we technically don’t become platinum until the moment the first leg ends)?

I wanted to order but I was denied because I didn't have one of their valid reasons for needing them. They want me to say either I 1)have Covid symptoms, 2) think I was exposed in the last 14 days, 3) work as a first responder, 4) work with a vulnerable population, or 5) need to test for re-entry to the US. It didn't give the option of needing one to test 2 days before departing on a cruise.

Just say you think you were exposed. How are they going to know you weren't?

  9. I am sailing out in December on Symphony. One of our ports is Roatan, Honduras. Now I understand that the ship stays on Miami time no matter what (although I have heard conflicting things about this, so can someone confirm?). I want to book a private tour early in the morning. Cruise Planner says we dock at 7am. So this is ship time? So it would actually be 6am in Roatan? Now if I wanted to schedule a tour for say, 8am (side question - how soon after dock time can you usually get off the ship?), do I book it for 7am with the tour company?

Sorry if this seems like a very simple question but my mind is all mixed up and I don't want to book the wrong times.

    Thanks!

  10. I've been monitoring the price of this one excursion for months - I had first saw it at $448 per person and I thought that was steep so I didn't purchase it then. Turns out that is the LOW price and ever since then it has been $720 or on "sale" for $682! I REALLY don't want to pay that much but honestly with each "sale" that comes I am losing hope that I'll ever see that $448 again. We sail in December and I worry it will be sold out by black friday. 😩

How do I get this please?   I’m use to NCL you can book ahead or on the ship and prices don’t change-between the drinks and shore excursions this is a lot of checking

Yes I would love to know as well! I am apparently signed up for promotional emails but I never, ever get them
