  1. Yes, I agree completely. We were on the BA on the May 15 sailing and my husband and I went to the latitudes party. The officers were standing at the entrance to spice H20. They were not introduced nor did they speak to the group, which I thought was very strange. And poof they disappeared. I asked my husband where they went and he didn't know. And those drinks were awful anyway. Thought we would hear some of the officers speak. I know we won't be going to those parties anymore. We have gone to them on the Gem, Spirit and Dawn and the party was more personable, we actually had a good time. I even won a couple prizes during the party. They don't do that anymore

  2. Have been on the BA 4 times and has never had any problems in getting into the restaurants. Our cruise was this past May and booked on line the first night, the first night in Bermuda and the last night. We also always go to the same restaurant (Savor) so this way the waiters and hostess get to know you. Restaurants open at 5:30 and on the nights that we did not have a reservation we probably had to wait maybe 5-10 minutes if that. We usually went around the same time and never waited an hour on any cruise we gave taken on NCL.

  3. My husband is highly allergic to tree nuts too. We fill out the firm that the access desk emails to us, our Ncl specialist is aware of it. Also when you board make sure you get in touch with the head matre de. Ncl takes very good care of my husband. If we go to the buffet for breakfast he will get sausage, bacon, cut up fruit and they make him an omelette. Or usually we eat in savor for breakfast. We always ate in savor. , this way the waiters remembered us and were always making sure he was taken care of. Also the maître de would would give my husband the menu the night before for the next days dinner. His food is prepped in a separate kitchen and they would give him baguettes as the bread basket the put on the table has different kinds of bread and rolls mixed in. They always came around to check to see if he was satisfied with his food. Get their business cards in case you wanted to call them with a question. And yes she can have dessert. My husband had a different dessert every night. It was wonderful and they went out of there way. They were just great. If you have any other questions, please let me know. Enjoy your trip

  4. Just off the BA today and I just want to say that I don't know what these people are taking about re NCL crew members being rude. They are the most friendly people, always saying good morning, how is yr day going, etc. I think it is the passengers that are very rude and inconsiderate to the crew members and to other passengers. We have seen passengers pushing, cutting in front of people, etc. we were talking to a couple of passengers the last night as they wanted dessert before they closed the garden cafe and they said they couldn't wait to get out of there as people were grabbing everything they could get, pushing, it sounded like they never ate before. That is why we go to the sit down restaurant most of the time We always spoke to all the crew members, never had any problems. Remember they are people too, not just your servant for the week. They work real hard to take care of you to make sure you have an enjoyable vacation, that is why we tip them before we leave even though we pre-pay our gratuities and we had the free UBP and we still gave them a $1 tip for each drink that we ordered. We always had great service

  5. Just got off BA today, when we left last Sunday was cool out, Monday was so cold on deck - the bar tenders in Uptown had on ear muffs. It was very windy which made it colder. And yes bring a sweater, some areas are cooler than others. I bring some 3/4 sleeve sweaters.
