Was the currency for chips in the casino based on dollars or Euros?

No duty free sales within Europe, it’s been like that for years.

In order for a ship to be able to sell duty free you have to visit a non EU port like Gibraltar or the Canary Islands (and presumably UK as of next March lol)

Does the "No duty free" statement apply to all products, or just cigarettes?

I have managed to book My Time Dining on Symphony. When I look at it now on my calendar it states "at your Leisure" but if you go into modify it shows the time you have actually selected. Hope this helps.

You can also find the actual times by looking at the "Order History" on the Cruise Planner.

When we boarded the Harmony in December, we were the only family waiting in the Emerald section. We boarded about 30 seconds before the Platinum members.

In addition to the package being "take it or leave it", if you already purchased a Deluxe Beverage Package prior to your cruise, you will have double the number of reusable drink mugs waiting for you in your stateroom.

I'm still looking for an update on Turtle Bay / Buck Island snorkeling. We set sail next week!

One more piece of unsolicited advice: Don't book thru the ship excursion: Carnival charged $50 the first year when our net cost was $3.50 a person. Even if you take into consideration the $12 admission(?), you will still be ahead and more importantly, not herded or rush.

The ship excursion is starting to look like a good deal now. The online price from the Bacardi Factory website for the Rum Tasting Tour is now $49.99. The RCCL price is $49. We purchased our excursions during a promotion for $44. BTW, the Bacardi Factory website states that they are now open for tours!

Looks like the earliest rum tasting tour is at 10am. I am sure you will be able to got there, tour and return in time for the 2pm ship departure. (In fact you will be able to get back by the 130pm all aboard).

Sorry to "hijack" this thread, but I'm also interested in recommendations for the short visit, but without the "non-drinking" restriction. We may or may not drink there, depending on the alternatives.

You only need 1 name on the cruise planner. I had 16 people for 2 bungalows and when others showed up I just let the guys in charge know they were with us. Then they were given a wrist band.

Check if your credit card company already offers "free" travel insurance. I had to cancel a non-cruise vacation (All Inclusive in Mexico) last year and my credit card company covered my expense via a 3rd party insurance company. My credit card is a Chase Marriott Rewards VISA.

I just booked 2 Boardwalk Balcony cabins on Harmony for 4th of July week of 2017. I'm definitely hoping that their is a sale between now and the 90 day cancellation window.
