Misc notes: We hit four holidays for this cruise...Asian New Year (2/8), Fat Tuesday (2/9), Ash Wednesday (2/10), and Valentine's Day (2/14 - but we were disembarking that day!). Thus the mix of passengers was skewed. There were somewhere around 800-900 Asians on this cruise, so something like 2.4 billion pictures were taken on 141,254 selfie sticks. There were also a large number of Latin passengers who, I think, were doing the Carnivale theme on Fat Tuesday. It made for some interesting people watching, which was both entertaining and once in a while frustrating. But a cruise ship is truly a melting pot of cultures, and you need to have an open mind during a cruise.
Bonus great stuff: My bride of 31+ years. We had one of the best vacations in decades. Love her dearly...
Fun fact: We went in the gift shop on the main promenade on day 1 and noticed the condom rack was full. By the last day it was empty! Tells me many cruisers knew how to have a good time (the goal of any cruise!).
My wife and I were on the same cruise. We couldn't agree more with your selfie sticks comment. Full Disclosure: I'm a "Banana Asian" (yellow on the outside, white on the inside) and we were the middle couple in the Love and Marriage game.
I didn't notice your "Fun Fact", but maybe that's because I was "fixed" many years ago.

Last week while we were on the Allure we paid a $100 deposit towards a future cruise Balcony Stateroom. We received $100 OBC for our existing cruise and $200 OBC for the future cruise. The 2nd passenger rate was also 50% off.

In addition to mixed drink prices, what is the typical price for beer? Also, is there any Beverage Package discount for Platinum members (I don't know why I don't already know this)?

Go PANTHERS!

Now that my Panthers are officially in the Super Bowl, I can ask these questions without jinxing them. Has anyone ever been on board Allure during the Super Bowl? If so, were there any "big screens" showing the game?

You want Royal Replenish
It includes
Soda
Water (still and sparkling)
Fresh OJ
Specialty coffee (espresso based)
Virgin cocktails
Semi-stupid question here: Can anyone confirm whether or not the premium coffee covered in the Royal Replenish package includes Starbucks?

Yes it's 15% So $105 for 7 days - 15.75 + $89.25
At least that is what it was last week when we were on Allure
Thanks for the response!

$15 per day x 7 days = $105, minus $60 discount = $45.
Is there a discount for Platinum cruisers?

My husband said the caddies were excellent and to follow their directions. He did return pretty close to sail time. the first time he went they were really close to sailaway. the next time we did have some time to shop but not a lot. I think he is a bit upset that he is not golfing this time but I wanted us to spend a beach day this time.
Cindy, Thanks again for the feedback!

I highly recommend the Valet Luggage Service if you are on one of the airlines that utilizes this service. It is WELL worth the $20 PP. You will not be bothered with your luggage until you reach the airport at your final destination.
Is the Valet Luggage service available for flights out of MIA (American Airlines)? IS there any way to pre-book this service?

My husband has done this twice. He really enjoyed himself. It was a full day.
Cindy,
Thanks for the feedback! Do you remember what time he was able to return to the ship? I was wondering if I should delay dinner reservations until after the ship is scheduled to leave the port.

Day 4 (Wednesday 11/18/15) Falmouth, Jamaica
Started off the day with my Quad Shot at Starbucks and then had breakfast at the Coastal Kitchen. After breakfast I decided to head off the ship and walk around Falmouth looking shooting some pics. I got back onboard around 3 and worked for about an hour in my cabin and making business calls on my IP Phone. Dinner was once again at the Coastal Kitchen and then I stopped by Vintages for some wine and then the Crown & Anchor Party.
What time was the Crown and Anchor party that day? We have a dinner reservation booked at Sabor at 7:30pm on our "Jamaica Day".

Bumping up to see if I can get a response.

Has anyone played this course and booked through Royal Caribbean? If yes, how was it?

This is the first week that Allure returns to the standard Western Caribbean route since it's been back from Europe. If you are sailing this week, we'd love to hear about your experiences- either by checking in or posting a review when you get back. Thanks!
...and post Cruise Compasses!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll show this post to my family and let you know if they have any questions. My daughter's biggest concern is whether or not she'll get queasy on the ferry ride (she has in the past on a snorkeling excursion and half-submerged sub).

Bumping again to see if anyone has taken this excursion and can comment.
-
I'm getting hungry looking at all these photos!
-
Bumping up since I haven't seen any comments yet from anyone who has actually taken this excursion.

We are planning to book the Dolphin Swim in Anguilla excursion for our Oasis Cruise this Summer and would love to read any feedback from anyone who has taken this excursion.

Will non-Platinum guests be able to check in with the Platinum guests if all the cabins are booked and paid for by the Platinum member?
