How is the adult game shows and Karaoke?  What venues are they doing these activities. Just got off Allure. Most were done in On Air. So crowded you could not get in as it is so small. 

Did she take the full day or half day?

So I actually did stay at the Radissoon Blu Edwardian Grafton through Princess. As a single - I paid $600 for two nights and breakfast was included. And so were transfers (private from airport and bus to the ship). So I actually thought it was an OK deal. Also - there was a threatened transportation strike which was called off at the last moment but things still were not running as normal. Prices for private transfers were doubled and tripled compared to the norm due to this.

 

I have mixed reviews about the room. The room was pretty plain but had a great desk with lots of outlets and a US electrical outlet. The bathroom on the other hand was all marble.

 

The hotel had great service, was in a great location and the breakfast was actually pretty good. I did walk all over from there but when it was pouring rain, I appreciated the Underground station right across the street. After the slight disappointment in the room, I ended up liking the hotel and location quite a bit and would stay here again.

 

Then prices seem pretty elevated for next year.

Thanks for all the info. Makes me a bit nervous. I think I will just go with the expense of Princess and book their pre-cruise package for two nights in London.

So you booked for 2 nights even though it was really only one night?  Sounds like a plan for me.

Not understanding why you have said this?  My question is my flight will get in very early from Florida. Most hotels do not let you check in until mid afternoon. I was asking the person that recommended the Holiday Inn if they were allowed to check in early.

On 31 May we arrived at Heathrow two days before our cruise and had Princess transfers from LHR to the ship 2 days later.  What is shown in post #6 is what was on our Travel Summary.  We stayed at the Holiday Inn 276 Bath Road which is very close to the Terminal 3 area.  We took the Hoppa Bus from Terminal 3 to the Holiday Inn and then used the Hoppa Bus back to Terminal 3 on day of cruise. We did go back to the airport around 7:30am that day and was on the first bus to the ship.  Arrived to the ship before 10am.  The hotel was very nice.  Have always arrived 1 or 2  days early and used the Hoppa Bus to get to our hotel and back to the Terminal.

I am liking this information very much as I am a solo traveler for August. May I ask if they let you check in early? I have not booked my air yet but will know coming from Florida, I will be getting in pretty early. Only want to do this for one night.

Can anyone tell me about Sky Princess Cabin Number M721?  We wanted Deluxe Balcony and this was the one left. Is this a really bad cabin????

Does anyone by chance have a great copycat recipe for the Tortuga Rum Cake.  

From reading what has happened with the Diamond Princess, there was no smoking anywhere until the people were allowed to go out for supervised walks. During their walk they were allowed to smoke outside in the designated area. 

I am trying to see where the smoking areas are on the ships. Is there a thread I may have missed on all smoking?

Smoking area question. We have not sailed Holland for many years. I am seeing talk of Seaview area’s.  Are they inside?  Outside? If outside, are they covered areas?   Don’t bash me. Yes I occasionally still have a cigarette but prefer to do it outside out of the sun. No interest in smoking in the casino.
