Definitely reach out to your federal MP office as they can get information for you without you having to redial the 800 number hundreds of times to get through.
The only other option you likely will have since they haven't even opened your file is to take a new application, pics, proof of travel and line up 48 hours before and do an urgent passport.
We submitted our daughter's application March 22, they received it march 23, payment taken may 2 then no movement. 10 weeks after it was submitted I contacted our MPs office to have them investigate. They were able to send travel docs and were told to call back if we hadn't received by June 21. On June 21st they called and it had been mailed the prior day and I had it in hand that day. 13 weeks to get it. I was deathly afraid I would have to line up.

We did it with our 2 kids (7 and 5) in March on the Regal. They got to meet stanley and the ship's photographer was there for pics. We also got to meet the captain, hotel director (I think) and the cruise director. There weren't many people that signed up for it. Our kids loved it. They also sell the Stanley bears at the breakfast for $24.95 which we knew we would get sucked into 2 as our daughter is stuffie obsessed but were shocked when the cruise director informed us that Stanley was gifting them to our kids (they had previously told us we had to pay for them, which I totally expected to pay).
I think it was a fun experience for all of us and worth doing if you have young children.

we recently traveled with our 4 and 7 year olds ... while we didn't spend a ton of time in the cabin and we had a balcony for extra space, we were definitely tripping over each other especially when the sofa bed was out and upper bed down. Definitely go with 2 cabins if you can afford it

Our kids are super picky eaters. I think our son pretty much survived on hash browns, fruit loops, pizza and french fries on our last cruise but he never went hungry. The kids menu has some great options. If there was something on the regular menu we requested that for them too ... our daughter likes plain shrimp cocktail and the "always available" was a caribbean cocktail so they made it plain for her every night. One night corn on the cob was the side on a dish and we requested just the corn for the kids. All staff are super accommodating. Our server in the anytime dining room said keeping the kids happy was his priority so us adults could have an enjoyable meal too. I'm sure your grand kids will find lots of options and maybe even try a few new things. Enjoy your trip!

we got off the regal in fort lauderdale last month. We were to be out of our rooms by 8 and I think we were one of the last groups off at 9:10am as we had a late flight. There were no real announcements to speak of, other than the captain thanking everyone and wishing us safe travels.
We have young children so we took the transfer to the airport and picked up a rental car so we could shop and hang out at a park for the day before returning the car. If you have an afternoon flight, they offer tours from the ship which we have done as well and then they drop you at the airport.

We recently cruised with our 7 and 5 year old on the Regal. We preregistered online for the kids club, but when we got there they didn't have the registration, but they had them on their list.
There was an open house the first afternoon after boarding, but we were too late and missed it so we just went when we were available so the kids could check it out.
We were away during Ontario march school break and there were a number of kids on board, but we never had a problem getting our kids in. If you plan to leave them during a port day, registration for those specific days are required in advance so they can plan meals, but regular times are just drop in. Our kids went a couple times, we just stayed with them as that was the preference of our kids.
As for things to not miss ... breakfast with Stanley ($10/person) was fun, and the kids club family fun fair afternoon was fun as well. They did a family movie night and had 1 night in the princess theatre that the musical was more family friendly and the show was an hour earlier which was nice.
I think our kids would have spent more time there but there were so many other things they were enjoying there wasn't much time really. With tours during ports, swimming in the pools, and all the eating, it didn't leave a ton of time.
Enjoy your cruise!

we were on the Regal in March. We had a cabin and my mom had a cabin. The photography staff would ask to ensure both cabins had purchased the package (which we had) prior to completing the transaction. We didn't want to take the chance and not get it and have to pay on board as it's $50 more at that point. With both having the package they would reprint any pictures that had people from both cabins so we all went home with hard copies and digital. It was well worth the money in our opinion, but we like to get lots of pics.

we were on the March 10th sailing of the regal and were able to purchase it in advance for the $199, very worth it to us! We received several emails about booking it through the personalizer prior to cruising.

Using the Ocean Compass app, once aboard the ship, you can click on 'manage shipmates'. You will be able to request a person to be your shipmate by sending a request to that person using their first and last names as they appear on their boarding documents. They will have to acknowledge the request using their Ocean Compass app. Once a connection has been confirmed, you can text with that person, find out where on the ship that person is, using your smart device or any of the portals generally located near the elevators. You only have to make the connection once per cruise.
thank you so much!! I will definitely get this set up once on board!!

Oh, good. Thank you, I will definitely find out about this code one on board as I think it will make things so much easier!

We are sailing on the regal in March. Our group has 2 staterooms on separate bookings. Does anyone know if there is a way to add the people from the other cabin so that we can find them and call them with the app? So far I only see the people in my cabin.
thanks for the assistance!
