  1. Curious...if some of our group are at Nachi and some are at Playa Palancar, could they walk down the beach and visit each other, or perhaps go out on the same snorkel tour from either/or ?

Are there frozen drinks at Nachi included?

  2. Is this pretty much accurate? I was mainly looking at several main points since I'm leading a large group so this isn't all encompassing. That's what website addresses are for. Just curious if I've missed anything glaring.

    > Nachi Cocum http://www.cozumelnachicocom.com/

    -ONLY all-inclusive, $55ea 16+, $35 12-15, $17 4-11, must reserve asap

-no crowds, only 100 people limit

-snorkel tours to reef every 2 hours, about $38/person

    -swimming pool

-wave runners, banana boat, water trampoline

    > Playa Palancar http://www.buceopalancar.com/index_en.html

-NO all-inclusive, but drinks and food cheap really

-crowds smaller than Mr. Sanchos or Paradise Beach

-snorkel/dive tours to 2 reefs every 2 hours, about $35/person, 1.5 hours long, all equip

    -no pool

    -wave runners, kayaks, parasailing

    > Paradise Beach http://www.paradise-beach-cozumel.com/

-NO all-inclusive, but drinks and food cheap really..$3 admission

    -crowded type beach

    -no snorkel/dive tours from beach

    -large pool area

-all water activities, including water park, floating mats and snorkel equipment for $15

    > Mr. Sanchos http://www.mrsanchos.com

    -Optional all-inclusive, $55ea or $40 for 12-17 and under, $35 4-11; separate area for all-inclusive folks

-crowded type beach if not all-inclusive

-no snorkel/dive tours but have some tours, like horseback riding, via http://www.beachtours.com.mx/ (on-site too?)

    -pool

-all water activities, including water park ($12)

Almost all have wifi or massages if that's important. Must bring cruise towels with you for most part.

  3. Thank you everyone so far for the responses. So, nobody can confirm that the other non-Nachi beaches have a snorkel tour that will take off from the beach and go hit a nice snorkel spot, like the reefs? I'll try to contact each beach club separately perhaps. Thx again!!

  4. Thank you so much megacruiser for the awesome review! Always looking fwd to the next Day. I'll be on Oasis in May and had some generic questions I'm hoping you or others can answer.

    > do you know if Cozumel or Jamaica had different time than ship?

    > I'm guessing your upcoming entries will give the info, but when was 2nd formal night?

    > will they basically keep the same Compass schedule come May? ie. Adult Quest same night, etc?

    > and one last silly, curious question....with Deck 8 (which is where our cabin is, inside) being open, how humid is it in there during the evening?

    Again, thanks so much!!

  5. I'm cruising on Oasis with a group of 30+. Some just want to do beach, others want to do a snorkel or scuba also. This is my 3rd time to Cozumel and enjoyed Paradise Beach last time. I've read some great things about Nachi too, but not sure everyone wants to pay for the all-inclusive, although they do offer a 2-hour snorkel tour. I'm wondering if there's a scenario/beach out there that allows us to take a taxi to the beach and then hire a tour at the beach for snorkel at minimum. Anyone have experiences in this scenario? Or, is it better to do the snorkel/dive tour separately and then meet at a beach later on? (and I know I can't make everyone happy, ha). Thanks!

    .

Oh, has anyone done the snorkel tour from Nachi? Good?

  6. Just wanted to confirm....we can bring bottle water and cans of soda on board, correct? Is there a 'proper', efficient way to do this best? I'm thinking a case of bottled water and a 12-pack of soda thrown into carry bag, but I've heard people may just tag the cases too? Seems like they would disappear easier. In case it matters, will be in FLL for Oasis. Oh, and I do know that 2 bottles of wine can be brought on board but no beer/liquor.

    Thanks.

PS. Is the search function coming back? Try not to repeat the same questions. ;o)

  7. I'm cruising with a group of 30+ people (kids to adults). I was curious if there were tour operators where we could book the whole thing for snorkeling/scuba and then off to a beach as well? Anyone know of any or have any experience doing similar? Of course, I'd have to be weary of their cancellation policy in case weather/water is bad. Thanks!

  8. Did you mention you were in Labadee when you tried to donate?

I'm sure I did atleast one of the times I donated. Are you indicating that Labadee restriction has been around for 2 years then? Interesting indeed.

  9. DONE!!

Glad to be of service' date='

    Kat[/quote']

Thanks Kat! I'm sure it will help someone out there plan better than the rest of us, ha!

  10. Well, just found out the hard way today about this. Got back from Roatan last week, and sure enough, today, they said I couldn't give for one year. Never thought about searching the threads for this but I'm bummed about not giving.

This should probably be a sticky for this thread, especially for those who may have surgery post-cruise and were planning on saving blood for themselves.

Strange thing is...we were in Labadee about 2 years ago, and I kept giving blood after that so not sure what changed on that one.
