  1. This matches my mental image
  2. Looks like a pretty good menu, except calling something "Trash Can Nachos" doesn't make it sound appetizing. I'm sure they are delicious, but it puts a bad mental image in my head.
  3. After a very long year, it's almost time for our 8 day cruise on the Sunshine! We leave for Florida tomorrow and sail away Saturday! We bought a new camera and this time around we are going to try and take as many photos and videos as possible. I plan to try and do a better review this time, as I feel my last one wasn't that great. But in the meantime, I welcome everyone to post any questions you have about the Sunshine or any of the ports we are visiting (Grand Turk, San Juan, St Kitts, St Maarten) and I will do my very best to answer them when we get back.
  4. I think they'll do any of the signature drinks by the pitcher there, last time we did "pay as you go" we both ordered the Sex on the Stage one night and our waiter suggested we get a pitcher to save a few bucks.
  5. The only time we drove the day of was to Charleston for our Ecstasy cruise in 2017 and that was because the port was only about 2 hours away from our house. We left home at about 9am, stopped right out side Charleston for breakfast and a stop at Walgreens to get the sunscreen we forgot to get and made it to the port with time to spare. Now for anything further away, like our upcoming cruise from PC (in 2 days!!!), we will drive down the day before and stay the night. Like others have said, it's for that piece of mind, not having to feel like we are rushing to get there and it adds to the vacation.
  6. I don't know if it's a official position, but there seems to always be at least one on board at any given time
  7. Based on my area of expertise, I'd be the ship's safety officer. Now if I was back in my 20's, I'd be the cruise director. That would be @coevan 's job, he our resident steak expert.
  8. Me too, we normally don't order room service, but I might make an exception this time around to try it after several people have said it's very good.
  9. I agree, I can forgive if an included option is not that great, but when I have to pay extra, which I don't mind doing if it's something I want, I would expect it to be better than what is included in my cruise fare. From the reviews so far, I don't see myself rushing to try them. I want to know who typed that word salad of a menu up.
  10. I don't know if I'd want dinner to take almost 4 hours to finish
  11. This is what I buy, if it's round, then Boar's Head and Publix are blatantly lying to their consumers.
  12. I don't know about that, I've bought the Boar's Head corned beef and pastrami from Publix several times and it's been pretty lean and I'm pretty sure it's brisket and not "round". Of course the fattiness of brisket depends on how much of the fat cap is left on it.
  13. In the begining of the video below, she shows the new sandwiches and that biscuit didn't look good at all. I have a feeling I'd be disappointed too if that was delivered to me, especially if it costs $3 extra. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYZe_RRWdcU
  14. Same here, and I personally don't like sitting at a dining table anywhere for anymore than an hour. We wouldn't have any issue with ordering dessert at the same time as the rest of the meal, in fact like @Doggielover68 said, we are less than a week from our cruise and I can already tell you exactly what will be ordered for dessert every night. (3 Chocolate Melting Cakes with 2 ice creams and 1 fruit plate, for those who are curious )
  15. Haven't been on the Elation yet, but we love the Fantasy class ships and we are booked to cruise on her for April next year doing the same itinerary as you.
