We just returned from Summit, cruise began on June 26. We are both Seniors and we weighed the chance of getting Covid and still went anyway. As we figured, we could get Covid going to Walmart. It’s a chance we were willing to take to have a cruise we had cancelled twice and waited 3 years to take. If we come down with Covid, it could have come from the cruise, from the buses we took, from the ferry we rode, from the rest areas we stopped at on the drive home or the restaurant we got food from once home. We won’t blame Celebrity and we will cruise again ! Life’s to short to hide at home!

I was on the same cruise and got covid the day I got home. so did my sister in law. Got a second booster 2 weeks prior too  This new varient seems to resists vaccines more  Got the alert on my phone too.  Did you? And on a side note i dont regret it.  We had a fabulous time!

I’m curious (since we have a land tour followed by a cruise on July 15). Did your party have the 2nd booster? The reason I ask is because I will be 15 days post booster and my husband will be 30 days. I’m wondering if getting the booster provides any added protection.

I just got off Celebrity summit with my brother and sister in law.  I never had covid before and neither did my SIL  and we both tested positive the day after we got home with full blown symptoms. We had the booster (our second!) 2 weeks prior to the cruise as a precaution.  This new variant B4 and 5 seems to  resist the vaccine. Our husbands were fine having had covid fairly recently before our trip

Yes if you booked with an 'Always Included' fare, but only the 'Classic' brands, and some do purchase 'cruise only' fares though.

So there will be people who got the 'Classic' drinks included wanting to upgrade to 'Premium' and those on 'cruise only' wanting to buy a package to go with it...

    thank you!

It can take time for a refund to actually show up on your card. Typically it can take 7-10 days. I'm pretty sure NCL wasn't holding onto your money until you called.

And I'm pretty sure they were! And it wasn't 7-10 days it was 1 1/2 days.  It was also past the 90 days they had originally promised.  (more like 100+)

  5. and where to be found? Although I still have the email that NCL received the refund request form and to allow them the 90 days, I think my bank wants proof of the form i filled out on March 24th.   I would think the email was enough but I want to cover all bases. (that email was very vague)  I called NCL and they said they did refund me but I have absolutely no credit on my Visa as of today.  SO I would like to print out the actual refund form and let Visa handle it.  I have all other paper work besides this.  Thanks in advance!!

  6. My brother had a 5 day Celebrity cruise scheduled for Easter break to Mexico out of Miami no insurance and fully paid for.  He gave it a shot and called Celebrity with his concerns. They are being very understanding and gave him a voucher to postpone his cruise. Good for a year. So it's not advertised but it seems like you can indeed get credit!  His neighbor had the same experience with Viking.  My similar cruise is with NCL March 28th  not sure what to do!😒
