On recent Koningsdam eclipse cruise, DH got pills from guest services. Cost $2 for 2 pills. He was advised to break off part of pill and take small portion to keep from getting sleepy. Worked well!

Favorite cruise - 21+ days to Antarctica. Amazing to see Penguins in their natural habitat! Only downside- the flights from Seattle and back

Just saw your posts of eclipse. We are on Koningsdam and saw your ship out in the water on the 8th. The eclipse was amazing!! Agree with you about the t-shirts -- think HAL could have sold many but none onboard. Several people bought t-shirts on Amazon before cruise! Wish we had done that!!

Deck 6 (bow) great place for viewing. Get there early - it gets crowded!

Hope you don't end up on a sandbar in the Amazon as we did in 2019. Excitiing?! Ask Tim and Angala (Timmer) about it!

Sorry you missed the Falklands, Many were disappointed passengers on our cruise last Dec. when it was cancelled for us. Thankful to have been there on 3 previous cruises to see the penguins! We encourage those who missed out on this cruise to try again. The Falklands are an amazing area!

We often walked around on our own. But listen carefully to ship advise - when in Rio de Janiero we were told to be extra careful - several passengers and crew were picpocked and a friend had his gold necklace torn off his neck. Know your surroundings and keep your eyes open wherever you go!

We have done this trip 4 times - 2010 to 2019. Benefit of a verandah stateroom is you can come inside if you need warming up. We loved close up views of icebergs, penguins, whales and birds from our balcony. Whatever you choose you will love this adventure!

Did this cruise a few years ago and enjoyed it very much. Yes the train ride was long but beautiful scenery. When we reached the end had an enjoyable time at the restaurant and walking the grounds.
Enjoyed stops in La Paz and Loreto as well.
