  1. Anyone know what "For the Table" means?

It's a shared item - like an appetizer or a big bowl of salad. If you watch the video they said you don't have to order for the table to share you can order just for yourself if you choose. :D

  2. Hey guys, So I just got back from NCL Sky. Was in Nassau yesterday and did the day pass for $30. I was going to do that Day Room. But they wanted $163 US since it was close to Christmas. ( This was the rate they gave me on the phone when I called 1 week ago) so I think there 50% off rate now applies and there's no more $99 Day rooms.

I think the lunch isn't worth the price. We just ate a big breakfast and skipped lunch.

The resort looked empty, maybe about 30 people were outside. Not sure why not the resort was clean and nice. No issues.

Thanks for the update! Can you share a little more info on the pools? My 13 year old son is coming with us and we were thinking about the Sheraton/Melia. What did you think of the pools?

  3. One thing to keep in mind is that in the winter months the water can be chilly (around 70). Atlantis and Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounters have wet suits for all. Not sure if Balmoral does.

    Does anyone know???

Also, Balmoral is very new.. and so is the staff/trainers.

Thanks Scubagirrl, very good points. I live in MD and the water temps in the summer average 70-71 so not much different than home. LOL. Actually leaning more towards Atlantis but just not sure it is worth the big $$. My 13 DS would certainly enjoy Atlantis more than a beach day. Can't decide! :(

  4. We were on the same cruise, and we sure lucked out in the weather department! Other than the last day, it was never too hot or too overcast.

I do have to say, I encountered a lot of "Odd Ducks" this cruise. I had a few personal encounters that were strange and witnessed several things that were downright bizarre. It must have been the Halloween thing, LOL!

Wow, love your signature line - You have been on the Pride ALOT!! :D:p

This will be my 3rd sailing coming up and I thought that was alot. NOT!! Haahaaa

  5. What a great review!! Thanks so much for taking the time to do it.

I am taking my family on the Dream in March and got alot of great tips from your review. In Roatan you don't have to book excursion to use the beach, right? I read other reviews talking about how crowded it was. Do you think a cabana would be the way to go? I checked the port calender and it said there would 4 ships in Roatan!! Wow! (Dream, Magic, Celebrity Constellation & Ryndham).

    Thanks again!

  6. Again for all we were on the Dream Nov. 3rd-10th and had a wonderful time. About the only thing I would not do again is the ATD and was able to switch to late dining and had a wonderful time.

Did not really smell anything, staff was helpful and polite, ship was clean and beautiful... yes it is large but easy to navigate. Would cruise the Dream again.

Hi Bob - I haven't had a chance to read the hundreds of posting on this thread and not sure if I really want to (LOL)... :p. Could you elaborate on the trouble you had with ATD? I used ATD a few months ago on the Pride and loved it. I was wondering if the ATD is more of an issue on the Dream due to her size?

    Thanks in advance....

  7. I just ordered this dress for our next cruise. I had been watching it for a while, and they didn't have my size. Well today ... voila! They must have got a shipment in. :D I don't wear dresses in my day to day life, so it is so much fun to dress up on cruises.

Prairie Gal - that dress is beautiful! I used to have a dress somewhat like it. Would you mind sharing where you found it? I'd like to check it out.

    Thanks!
