I thought I had nailed down plan for a day in Nassau however last evening my husband saw the excursion for the stingrays at Balmoral. He's thinking our 13DS would like that better than an afternoon at Melia or Hilton.
Can anyone offer a review of this particular excursion?
Thank you

Anyone know what "For the Table" means?
It's a shared item - like an appetizer or a big bowl of salad. If you watch the video they said you don't have to order for the table to share you can order just for yourself if you choose. :D

I had a minor freak out yesterday when i looked and didn't see my ship either. I had to login to Carnival's site and double-check my itinerary. The Pride visits Nassau each week yet it was missing. Oh well!!
Have a great cruise!

That is very helpful - thank you!!
As soon as the hubby gets home I'll talk to him about the Sheraton/Melia and the BCH. The BCH is closer which I like. Thanks again!

Hey guys, So I just got back from NCL Sky. Was in Nassau yesterday and did the day pass for $30. I was going to do that Day Room. But they wanted $163 US since it was close to Christmas. ( This was the rate they gave me on the phone when I called 1 week ago) so I think there 50% off rate now applies and there's no more $99 Day rooms.
I think the lunch isn't worth the price. We just ate a big breakfast and skipped lunch.
The resort looked empty, maybe about 30 people were outside. Not sure why not the resort was clean and nice. No issues.
Thanks for the update! Can you share a little more info on the pools? My 13 year old son is coming with us and we were thinking about the Sheraton/Melia. What did you think of the pools?

One thing to keep in mind is that in the winter months the water can be chilly (around 70). Atlantis and Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounters have wet suits for all. Not sure if Balmoral does.
Does anyone know???
Also, Balmoral is very new.. and so is the staff/trainers.
Thanks Scubagirrl, very good points. I live in MD and the water temps in the summer average 70-71 so not much different than home. LOL. Actually leaning more towards Atlantis but just not sure it is worth the big $$. My 13 DS would certainly enjoy Atlantis more than a beach day. Can't decide! :(

I'm cruising soon and am also interested in any recent reviews. Thanks.

1st sea day will be cold. 2nd sea day not quite as cold and we actually sat on serenity and enjoyed the sun but with sweatshirts. Yes, FL should hopefully be between 70-80.
Have a great cruise!

Great price!
I got an email yesterday too on an upsell.
They wanted to upsell me from a Balcony to a Junior Suite for ONLY $780!

We were on the same cruise, and we sure lucked out in the weather department! Other than the last day, it was never too hot or too overcast.
I do have to say, I encountered a lot of "Odd Ducks" this cruise. I had a few personal encounters that were strange and witnessed several things that were downright bizarre. It must have been the Halloween thing, LOL!
Wow, love your signature line - You have been on the Pride ALOT!! :D:p
This will be my 3rd sailing coming up and I thought that was alot. NOT!! Haahaaa
-
Looking forward to the rest of your review. :D

Disappointing that they removed your review :(

I just cruised out of Baltimore a week ago -- my second time. It was fabulous! You'll enjoy it.
Our next cruise is on the Dream and my family and I are taking the auto train to FL. My son in particiular I think is more looking forward to the train than the cruise. :)
Enjoy!

That is very helpful - thank you!!
I went ahead and booked the cabana. :D

What a great review!! Thanks so much for taking the time to do it.
I am taking my family on the Dream in March and got alot of great tips from your review. In Roatan you don't have to book excursion to use the beach, right? I read other reviews talking about how crowded it was. Do you think a cabana would be the way to go? I checked the port calender and it said there would 4 ships in Roatan!! Wow! (Dream, Magic, Celebrity Constellation & Ryndham).
Thanks again!

Again for all we were on the Dream Nov. 3rd-10th and had a wonderful time. About the only thing I would not do again is the ATD and was able to switch to late dining and had a wonderful time.
Did not really smell anything, staff was helpful and polite, ship was clean and beautiful... yes it is large but easy to navigate. Would cruise the Dream again.
Hi Bob - I haven't had a chance to read the hundreds of posting on this thread and not sure if I really want to (LOL)... :p. Could you elaborate on the trouble you had with ATD? I used ATD a few months ago on the Pride and loved it. I was wondering if the ATD is more of an issue on the Dream due to her size?
Thanks in advance....

Thanks for the sum up. Just booked the Dream on Friday for March and can't wait!! Our kids are growing up so this will likely be our last family vacation.
Can't wait!

Sure thing! Hope you can work it out.
Our excursion with Chad in January was the highlight of our trip!!
-
I am friends with them on FB and I just checked and their FB page is fine.
It is Chad4naturetours when you do a search in FB.
They just posted a bunch of pixs last week of a recent tour of the East End Blue Hole Kayak trip so I don't think anything has changed

My husband and I booked a trip with him just this past January - It was the highlight of our whole cruise. You won't be disappointed!!

Was this at Nordstrom? I just bought a dress that looks so close to this. It was at Nordstrom on the clearance rack. The only thing that may be different is the under bust embellishment on mine is gold and this picture appears to be silver. So....try looking at Nordstrom!
Ouch! That is expensive but the dress is really beautiful!
-
I just ordered this dress for our next cruise. I had been watching it for a while, and they didn't have my size. Well today ... voila! They must have got a shipment in. :D I don't wear dresses in my day to day life, so it is so much fun to dress up on cruises.
Prairie Gal - that dress is beautiful! I used to have a dress somewhat like it. Would you mind sharing where you found it? I'd like to check it out.
Thanks!

After a great deal from the Upsell Fairy in January last year we booked a Grand Suite. It was a really nice room but no other perks.... Just the room and balcony size which were lovely!
