You need to call Carnival about this, and ASAP before the pricing changes. Shame on you for even starting a thread about this instead of just calling them and asking them if they will do it.

Thanks for the Lanai tour!

Carnival is way too cheap and stingy with their VFIP program to give you what you pay for.
If you pay double you should get double. I am sailing solo on one of the Magic's sailings where the waived the solo supplement. I would not expect double points for that.

Ah yes. The cheerleaders will be hard at work to support Carnival's package and to tear apart RC's package

:D I thought I did, my internet is really crappy here and stutters a bit sometimes. Happy Ending!
It's always nice to see a happy ending.

The only problem I would forsee is if you went on some kind of excursion that she would be driving. Even then, I'm not sure it would matter.
Have Fun!
I'm guessing you didn't read the thread.

I didn't know Easter has a special meal. What about an easter bunny and eggs says you should have ham for dinner?

A bigger room.

Be careful! Many others have called with you situation and were told that the OBC for this promotion can only be used for excursions purchased on the ship. If you were to call Carnival you will likely get the same response.
There is no grey area here - the fine print on the promotion clearly states that this is only for excursions purchased on board. If you change your rates and have to pay more to get this promotion you will most likely end up very upset.

Looks like BFF status might be changed?
I lol'd.

There is no way to know for certain. Generally they start around / after Thanksgiving.

You can bring one bottle on board with Carnival to consume whilst on the ship. It needs to be in your carry on.
If you have wine in your checked luggage they will hold it until the end of the cruise. So this may be your best option - just check it in your luggage and they will most likely catch it and then hold it for you. -
There are some available on ebay.
-
I may be able to do this on 12/3.

Bring an old gift card or other card with a mag strip that is no loner in use. that way you are covered either way.

It varies. If everything goes as planned you should be safe to see your room by 2.

If she cancels, she cancels. You can find someone else to join in the second room or that person may or may not need to pay a single supplement. You could always just have one room, 3 women. I suspect that whoever is cancelling from the second room will need to pay to switch. Give Carnival / your PVP a call.

If you can get a quick replacement for the driver's license I urge you to do so.
On the ship, if she wants to get into the dance clubs, she will need a picture id. She won't want to be carrying her passport all evening. (As well as not being able to fit into the pockets of her clothes she will want to dance in.)
She will need it every time she enters and leaves the club. They do not have bathrooms inside, so she will be in and out.
Good point. I had not considered that as a reason for getting a temporary license.

Oh what a bummer!

Thanks for the review and for sharing your pictures. My only complaint is that you are making us all wait too long for your complete review!

We are leaving on the Sunshine this Sunday, Nov 24th and in Grand Cayman we are taking part in a great Kayaking and Snorkeling Excursion. I was reading some recent reviews and people mentioned how much fun they had looking at the fish and they saw 3 string ray. I am very very scared of string ray and did not know we would see them. Crazy question, how is it they do not hurt you? Should I be scared? What do I do if I see one? Thanks so much!
How many times have you seen on the news that a tourist was killed by a sting ray? Never? There's a reason for that....they don't attack people!
Yes, Steve Irwin died but that man's time had come up a long long time ago.
-
Why?
Because she no longer has a TDL. Unless she is planning on staying at home and not driving anywhere - or even having someone else drive - she needs to get a temporary license until her new one arrives in the mail.

Foolish not to go????
I disagree, Now, I never went mind you, but I avoid mdr cause it takes too long, heard steakhouse is longer. MDR food doesn't impress me, so we buffet, just as good, so trusting the steakhouse scares me. Finally, we eat out at home about once a month or so, never in my 50 years have I paid 35 for one meal, even in tourist country where I live...heck why would I do it in a place I already paid big bucks to be on?
So you have never been to a fine dining establishment? Enjoy your buffet and $35 meals but you are missing out on a whole different world of food.

My rough numbers were bothering me.
http://data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl
Here is some firm numbers:
$810 in 1980 is the same as $2,301.71 today. (SS Norway Inside)
$970 in 1980 is the same as $2,756.37 today. (SS Norway Outside)

Does Carnival count a single person paying a double occupancy room as two cruises?
in Carnival Cruise Lines

If someone is paying for two people to go then they should get double points. Plain and simple. You are really reaching far by comparin cabin costs.
