  1. If carnival started giving double cruise rewards for singles who paid double, then people who had a balcony cabin who paid double the inside rate would want double credit also.. There are people that pay triple the cost of an interior cabin for suites, maybe more, should they get extra credit also... I do believe that Carnival should adjust there pricing for solo cruisers and only charge them maybe 150% instead of double, but if they started giving extra credit, that would open up alot of issues with people

If someone is paying for two people to go then they should get double points. Plain and simple. You are really reaching far by comparin cabin costs.

  2. The only problem I would forsee is if you went on some kind of excursion that she would be driving. Even then, I'm not sure it would matter.

    Have Fun!

I'm guessing you didn't read the thread.

  3. Be careful! Many others have called with you situation and were told that the OBC for this promotion can only be used for excursions purchased on the ship. If you were to call Carnival you will likely get the same response.

There is no grey area here - the fine print on the promotion clearly states that this is only for excursions purchased on board. If you change your rates and have to pay more to get this promotion you will most likely end up very upset.

  4. You can bring one bottle on board with Carnival to consume whilst on the ship. It needs to be in your carry on.

If you have wine in your checked luggage they will hold it until the end of the cruise. So this may be your best option - just check it in your luggage and they will most likely catch it and then hold it for you.
  5. If she cancels, she cancels. You can find someone else to join in the second room or that person may or may not need to pay a single supplement. You could always just have one room, 3 women. I suspect that whoever is cancelling from the second room will need to pay to switch. Give Carnival / your PVP a call.

  6. If you can get a quick replacement for the driver's license I urge you to do so.

On the ship, if she wants to get into the dance clubs, she will need a picture id. She won't want to be carrying her passport all evening. (As well as not being able to fit into the pockets of her clothes she will want to dance in.)

She will need it every time she enters and leaves the club. They do not have bathrooms inside, so she will be in and out.

Good point. I had not considered that as a reason for getting a temporary license.

  7. We are leaving on the Sunshine this Sunday, Nov 24th and in Grand Cayman we are taking part in a great Kayaking and Snorkeling Excursion. I was reading some recent reviews and people mentioned how much fun they had looking at the fish and they saw 3 string ray. I am very very scared of string ray and did not know we would see them. Crazy question, how is it they do not hurt you? Should I be scared? What do I do if I see one? Thanks so much!

How many times have you seen on the news that a tourist was killed by a sting ray? Never? There's a reason for that....they don't attack people!

Yes, Steve Irwin died but that man's time had come up a long long time ago.

  8. Why?

Because she no longer has a TDL. Unless she is planning on staying at home and not driving anywhere - or even having someone else drive - she needs to get a temporary license until her new one arrives in the mail.

  9. Foolish not to go????

I disagree, Now, I never went mind you, but I avoid mdr cause it takes too long, heard steakhouse is longer. MDR food doesn't impress me, so we buffet, just as good, so trusting the steakhouse scares me. Finally, we eat out at home about once a month or so, never in my 50 years have I paid 35 for one meal, even in tourist country where I live...heck why would I do it in a place I already paid big bucks to be on?

So you have never been to a fine dining establishment? Enjoy your buffet and $35 meals but you are missing out on a whole different world of food.
