  1. My husband and I were on the last Vista cruise out of NY and we had a Havana aft wrap. The Havana pool area did not open to other passengers until 7pm and even then it was not crowded. They watched it carefully since the teenagers on the Med cruises broke one of the hot tubs and I read it got pretty rowdy back there. I believe that is why the time was changed from 5 to 7. I also read something about it being considered to not allow any passengers back there anytime unless you had a Havana cabin. We would go out on our balcony at night at around 10pm and would see people in the hot tubs and sitting in the lounge chairs. There is a band back there in the evening. We also did not have any noise issues. We love the aft wraps and the noise was something I was afraid of. We have booked another aft wrap for the Horizon in October 2018.

  2. I have had a card from Barclay for over 10 years and when I applied for the Carnival card last year, they sent the email stating they would get back with me. I called and spoke with a representative and was told that I had been denied due to a report on my credit report of someone attempting to steal my credit. I own a collection agency so I contacted all credit reporting agencies and they said I did not have anything on my credit report showing that information. I had all the credit agencies send me my credit report and then I contacted Barclay again. The stupid idiots had apparently not put in my correct social security number. I have a common last name and they were looking at the wrong credit. I reapplied for the card and once again was turned down. When owning a collection business you must have very good credit. I do. I paid off my credit card with them and closed it. Will never do business with them again!!

  3. My husband and I have booked an aft wrap on the spirit class ships 10 times. We also book the aft wrap on the other ships. This past November we had an aft wrap on the Vista and loved it. It was next to the stairs that led down the the Havana bar. The aft wrap on the Vista is a Havana cabin and was very nice. We have already booked an aft wrap on the new Horizon for October 6, 2018. This is now the only type of cabin I will book even over a suite. I spend a lot of time on the balcony.

  4. I see non-Havana stateroom guests have access to the Havana pool at night (7 pm). Does the area get crowded then? Thanks!

My husband and I were on the Vista in November.,We had a Havana aft wrap cabin and loved it. We were on deck 7 and after 7 it did crowded. There were some issues with teenagers getting in the hot tubs and staying there for quite some time. Some of the ships security were called to ask them to please allow other guests to use the tubs. During the day, very nice. Also, we were not disturbed by the music from the band in the evening. We have already booked a cruise along with my son on the new Horizon for October 2018. We booked the aft wrap again but had to book deck 6. My son is on deck 5 in a Havana inside cabin. We are so looking forward to this cruise.

  5. My husband and I were just on the Vista in November and loved it. I do not understand the bad reviews. The Breeze is a beautiful ship also and I think more children friendly. We liked both ships but prefer the Vista because children were not allowed in the Havana are. I have been on 20+ cruises and have an issue with parents allowing their children to run up and down the hallways. Definitely no home training? The Vista was so nice and quiet in the Havana area. They did open up the pool and hot tub area at 7pm to all the guests but really think with the prices you pay for a Havana cabin, the area back there should be solely for the Havana cabin guests. We had an aft wrap cabin and while sitting out on our balcony we did notice that when they opened up the area to all guests, some of the teenagers were really taking over the hot tubs and making a huge mess. Several Carnival employees came out and told them they had to leave because of the mess. Like I said, "no home training".

  6. I am not sailing on this cruise with you but thought I would answer your question. I took my grandson and his wife with me on a cruise last year and had them on my ss and was told by Carnival that they did not allow guests to bring other passengers (including family) that were in other cabins with them to the VIP lounge unless they were under a certain age. You may want to call Carnival or your TA to verify this. My grandson and his wife had to board separate.

  7. We have sailed on the Miracle six times and each time I book the aft wrap. I have never felt any vibration on deck 7 or 8. The cabin is considered a Category 11 suite and the cabin is divided into sections. You have your sitting area with a tv, a dressing area with a door, a bathroom, the bedroom with a door and another tv. and a walk-in closet. The balcony is huge. Best cabins on the Spirit class ships.

  8. Elaine we will try to keep it neat for you. We have 7450 for the final Med cruise back to back with the Transatlantic.

Thanks! I hope the people that are in that cabin for the NY cruise on 11/5/2016 will do the same. You are so lucky doing a B2B on the Vista. Wish we could have been able to do that. We are so excited and can't wait!

Hope you have a great cruise.

  9. yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy sounds great!!

Also good to hear the music doesn't drift into the room if doors closed!

The aft wraps sound great! Can't wait to get out on the balcony. We will probably see each other sometime during the cruise. We chose early dining since my husband does not like eating late.

  10. Me too Elaine!! Some people say there is a sofa, others say not. Not sure what to expect but I'm going with expecting a smallish room with no sofa and then we'll get pleasantly surprised if there is more room!

Looks like there will be a sofa!! I like that since we have friends coming along and I hate having only one chair available. I will definitely need to have an additional sun chair for the balcony. We have always had 2 when we have booked an aft wrap.

That is exactly how I feel. I did see a post, can't remember where that someone said there is a sofa in the Havana aft wrap. Apparently this person had been told by a passenger that had a Havana aft wrap that there was a sofa in it. You know how stories get passed down on these boards and the cabin ends up being totally different. I do hope there is a sofa since we have friends going along and would very much like to have somewhere for them to sit. Of course there is always that lovely large balcony.:)

  12. Hopefully you are on the other side, lol we're in 7459! Can't wait!

Yes, we are on the other side. I am sure we will bump into each other during the cruise. We are so looking forward to it. I am curious as to what the aft wrap Havana cabins look like. I have heard different descriptions.

  13. We stayed there a few years ago and there are a couple of small places to grab something to eat and buy liquor within walking distance, but as far as a nice restaurant you will have to grab a taxi. The place is very nice and yes, expensive. We prefer the Lago Mar Resort which is absolutely beautiful and about 10 minutes from the port and airport. It is on the beach and you can go down and enjoy watching the ships leave the port. The restaurant and snack bar in Lago Mar has very good food.

  14. I believe someone asked if it is $129 per person or per group. I just booked a cabana and I was charged $129 per person (myself and my husband). Total of over $200 is a little pricey especially when they don't even include any drinks or food. We have been thinking about canceling since our ship arrives at 7am and leaves at 2pm. We will not be up and about that early. Probably won't get off the ship until after 9am. So over $200 is a bit much for just 4.5-5 hours.
