We've been to the Fjords the last 3 years in June and have been lucky that each port - except Bergen - has been dry and in the main sunny and very warm. Gerainger and Olden were as hot as the Med but on 3 visits to Bergen, 3 days of pouring rain :(

Be prepared for rain but it should be fine everywhere - except Bergen :)

Just booked for the Ventura Cruise on 21 May. We have been to Florence 4 times and Pisa twice so we had hoped to get to Lucca. On the Cruise Personaliser the only trip available to Lucca is a cycling tour which is a no-go for us. Previously I had seen shore trips to Lucca but it seems there are none. Is Lucca doable under your own steam ?

My wife and I almost booked on the same trip but decided against it as we had only a couple of weeks to prepare and didn't feel we had sufficiently researched it. Looking at your blog we have decided it's definitely something we want to do and we may consider this winter or perhaps March 2015.

We have visited Norway during the summer and have been to the North Cape and Svalbard but would like to experience it in winter and hopefully see the Lights.
