They actually told me by phone that they will fly me to the next stop. Not sure why they would say that if they don't do it.
-
Ok, thanks - never said we did not have passports...

Sounds like I need to explain more. We are coming a day early. Where we live, at that time of year, flights get cancelled. If I book through RC and my flight does not make it in time for the cruise, they will fly me to the first stop where I can then board the ship.

Hi, I have never booked airfare through the cruise line before, and need some advice. How far in advance do I book? I tried to go on the website and see fares for a December 2018 cruise, and there was nothing available. Do people generally recommend booking this way, especially in winter where flights may be delayed or cancelled? Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the advice! We got one balcony and one interior room and saved $2000!

Thanks so much! I spoke to RC, and sounds like if we can get the 2 rooms, that will actually cost less than a junior suite that has an upper berth in it (plus the queen and sofa bed), which is an option they mentioned to me.
-
With teenagers, I’d do this one. Maybe a balcony for the parents and an inside for the kids.
Thank you! Do you happen to know a general price difference between this and a junior suite?

What is our best option for affordably sleeping 4 on Oasis? It will be two parents and two full-sized teens who are a boy and girl, and would be awkward in the same bed. I was looking at a junior suite, but the two of us parents also have back issues which may make sleeping on the sofa bed difficult. Thanks.

Wonderful, thanks!

Does anyone know if there is somewhere to go salsa dancing on Oasis? Any specific places that would play salsa music? Thanks.

Hi, How do I begin to find a cruise line to visit Japan, and maybe some other places in Asia? I have only ever cruised on Royal Caribbean, and would want something of that quality if possible. Thank you.

We stayed in OSJ (at the Normandie) 5 years ago during this event, and not only was the traffic stopped still with cars, but they were honking constantly (no, I mean every car, honking NON STOP)and yelling all night! So don't expect any peace in that area - it was crazy!

Thanks for the info - will be sailing Indy soon!

I hear that there will be another large ship docked at Labadee the same day ours will be there. Does anyone have a suggestion about what activities would not be overly crowded/long lines? We had considered the waterside, the roller coaster, and various water activities - just not sure what would be relaxing vs. too many people trying to do the same thing.
-
Thanks, that helps!

Does anyone know if Indy offers a whole wheat pasta option for their pasta dishes in the mdr?

Thanks - if I am wanting something healthy like salads or vegetables, am I better off eating on the ship? Sounds like sometimes the island buffet is kabobs, tacos, etc, and I don't prefer a lot of meat or fried things.

We are sailing RCL Independence - is there a cost to eat on the island, or is it all free (excluding alcohol?) I was not sure whether it was better to have lunch on the ship, depending on what is available and if there is any cost. Thank you!

This is great information! Does anyone know if this will change (besides the dates and temps), or do they keep everything else the same for the same itinerary? This is from Nov. and we are going in Jan. Thanks!

Has anyone had RCI do anniversary stateroom decorations? How did you like it? Was it worth it to you? I was considering having it done for a relative's room, since we'll be traveling together. Any pictures would be great! Thanks!

Thank you for the advice and pictures - that is very helpful! I am looking forward to being there!

Thank you for the help!

Thanks for the advice! Do you know about how long of a walk it is from the ship to the first fort, from one fort to the other, and then from the last fort back to the ship? Does the walk go through any areas where we should be careful, or is the area generally safe for tourists to walk? Is it possible to bring food and drinks from the ship? It has been a while since I've been on a cruise, and I don't remember much!

The ship is there from 7 to 2, and the forts open at 9. I hear it takes about 3 hours.

Thanks all, and especially RickT for the understanding. :)
