We love a corner aft balcony, and try to book one when available. We feel that it is quieter, and love the view from the back of the ship.

Thanks for everyone's reply. I think we are going to go ahead and jump on the Corner Aft Balcony. We have always wanted to try one, and can't pass up the opportunity. We might be sorry, but we have to try it for ourselves.... LOL. If we don't like it, we can always go back to our favorite place (hump cabins). Again, thank you for all your comments. Hopefully, we will like our choice.

Not all corner aft cabins are the same. It depends on the ship and what deck your corner aft is on. I would not take the ones that have a door instead of a sliding glass door. What ship and cabin number are we talking about?

We know that there are different likes for everyone. But, we were just wanting to know how a Corner Aft Balcony was vs. a Hump Cabin. We've sailed in a Hump Cabin before, but never a Corner Aft Balcony. We just found one and switched for our upcoming cruise, and was hoping we made the right decision.

We too like the more Mid-sized ship. We haven't tried any of the larger ships. Don't really like the idea of having to make reservations for everything. We loved Freedom, Liberty, and we are sailing on Navigator this November.

Lol. As LMax said, I was referring to the Scientology ship. See post #454.

 

Don't worry, your deck 7 hump cabin definitely has a balcony. Have a great time!

I'm surprised there are even windows. When I was getting close to the ship to take pictures I was fully expecting a sniper to fire off three bullets between my eyes.

We are confused. Are you saying there aren't any balconies on this ship? We are booked for November of this year, and have a hump cabin on the 7th deck and it says it's a balcony stateroom???

LOL. We have to wait all the way until November 24. It's the day after Thanksgiving. We've heard that they have Christmas decorations up after Thanksgiving. So, hopefully, we will be able to see that.

That's the way my wife and I feel. We don't complain much about anything. We feel like we are on a cruise ship, and we are on vacation for the next 9 days. We are going to make the best of it. WE are loving your review, and looking forward to reading more of it.

Looking forward to your review of the Navigator. We sail on her the day after Thanksgiving. We are really looking forward to it. Have fun on your cruise, and have fun at Nachi. We really loved Nachi the last time we were there.

We are looking into booking another cruise. We love Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Key West. Does Royal Caribbean even stop at Key West anymore? Thanks.

Does the Getaway have the 2 person water slide like the Escape does? Thanks for any help.

My main criteria is - are that person's actions negatively impacting me or my family? My husband is a Desert Storm vet with lung damage from the oil fires. You smoke on your balcony near us so he has to breathe/smell it, you will get reported. You smoke on a balcony somewhere distant from us and I just happen to see you....eh. Not wasting my vacation time on reporting you.

This is my feeling EXACTLY! I don't really care who does what, but the minute it puts what I paid for in its crosshairs, I will not stop until it is resolved. Having a good time at others expense isn't tolerated. Thanks to Gambee for standing up to the smokers who didn't care if he could come outside or not.

Sad to say it, but the end of another AWESOME Gambee review. I say it ever time, and I will say it again next month, THANK YOU FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO FOR SO MANY OF US! I don't think you know how many people use your reviews for a break from the problems they have. Many safe travels and I, along with many, many more, are waiting for the next Gambee review. Well, to be completely honest, the missed flight, devestating charges to my poor innocent charge card, as well as the overwhelming stress and anxiety of a loss passport and all that almost made me want to not do this tour/review at all. It took about three whole days to just start to get into that mood that everything was hunky dory (translation = just fine). As the cruise rolled on and I experienced everything the Oasis had to offer, the more excited I become in sharing this experience with everyone.

I can't tell you how happy we are that you took the time to do the review. Very well done. Thank you.
