Let me get my popcorn, this could get good.

Thank you for the much needed laugh. We need more like you on here. I hope to have the pleasure of cruising with you one day.

Probably the funniest review I have ever read! You have a great way with words. Thank you for the fun break from the weather, I would love to be on your cruise sometime!

We are sailing on Independence on February 28. We've never had Ricky Mathews as a cruise director. Can anyone fill us in on how he is? Thanks for your replies.

Hey Jen, these aren't new, but maybe they will help a little. See you soon!

Welcome to Indy! I will try to help a little and I an sure others will also.
1- There are several places deck chairs can be had as long as you aren't very picky about location. Check out the deck above the pool toward the aft, we have always had good luck there.
2-They will hand out tickets to the ice shows, I think the day before around 3( I could be wrong). The exact time and location will be in your cruise compass.
3- As long as you get to the theater 30 minutes before the show, you won't have any problems getting a seat.
4- On Labadee lounge chairs are pretty easy to get. There are several workers that will get you a lounger and put it where you want, just be sure to give them a tip.
Best tip I have is relax and enjoy!

I appreciate your support, but here's the problem: When my family was trying to contact me from the ship, they kept asking if they reached me. They said no. After several minutes of this, that's when my wife heard the captain say that they can't wait for one person. I think that if they new I was literally a BLOCK away, perhaps they would've waited. But no one knew where I was. :(
Thanks for sticking with those of us who have supported you. Also, give your friend a break, I am sure he feels awful. I can't believe how you stuck with us after some of the crap some of these idiots posted, it showed me how much character you have. You helped more people than you will ever know. God bless you and your family.

You my friend are the most stand up person I have seen for a long time. Not blaming anyone is hard to believe nowadays. Best of luck on everything!

We are sailing Independence of the Sea in February, 2015. We always look forward to finding out who our cruise director is going to be. Richard Spacey was our favorite. We are waiting to see who will be ours in February.

Do you remember what the temp was when you were in Labadee? Thanks.

We used Park-n-go as well. Their rates were good and it only took about 15 minutes for a shuttle to pick us up to take us back to get our vehicle after the cruise.
One thing to mention. My van had lots and lots of small white dots on it (both on the glass and on the metal). I just thought it to be dirt, but after getting it washed, the dots are still there. It turns out that those dots are PAINT splatters. I do not know where they parked my vehicle for the week I was gone, but wherever it was parked, someone was painting nearby. I have managed to scrap of many of the paint dots with the edge of a credit card, but still have about a hundred more to get off. It has not wrecked the vehicle, but it leaves me questioning where they parked it where white paint would have been splattered all over it (very small fine dots).[/QU
I hate to hear about the paint splatter. If you have any left, the safe way to remove it is a clay bar that you can get at any auto parts store. Just be sure to wash the van before you start and keep the bar lubricated really well.

Sorry about the late response. I have been reading your review and LOVE IT!!! Thanks for taking the time to do such a fantastic job! We sail Indy in February and this is saved on my computer until then so I can relive the pictures. Thanks again!

Sorry I haven't posted yet to thank you for this awesome review! There have been many good one's and your review is as good as any I have read. Thanks for taking the time to let us go along.

Unless you are planning on counting cards does it make a difference? I think the average casino uses six (or so my brother tells me).
Not a avid gambler so I am just curious as to what prompted the question.
Thanks for the responses. The reason for the question was different strategy for different number of decks used. Thanks again!

Does anyone know how many decks of cards RCCL uses to play Blackjack? We are sailing on Independence. Thanks for any help!!

I LOVED your review. Please do another of the cruise you have in the fall. Why not another one for the 13th cruise? I would enjoy reading it. You have a great way of sharing your cruise with us. Thanks!!

One more tip- Allow yourself ample time to get back to the port. When we were there last year, they were doing road work and the traffic was terrible. It is a must do, I loved this stop!

Right in the middle of the shopping area was a little bar known for serving the drunkin monkey, so we sat down and ordered some beers lol. Ok so my mom ordered one, lol and said they were super strong!!!

After a little more shopping, we stumbled into a store and of course my wife said she just had to have a new ring........yea!!! Um I guess next time I need to come prepared to spend like 6k on a ring lol, it wasn't happening this trip though lol.

After we left the massive rock at the store for someone else to buy lol, we headed back to the ship!! Maybe next time we might do a tour or excursion, the shopping was ok, your usual touristy type stuff. The weather couldn't have been better, a nice little breeze and not too hot at all!!!!

After taking a little nap, we decided to check out sail away, it was kind of cool to see how they let go the lines, you can tell these guys have been doing this for years, they have this down to a science, How they move around so quick and easily. Anyways it's was cool to see these guys let go the lines and we were off to San Juan!!!

You are right, it was amazing watching the precision of everyone at sail away. We also love to watch the ship dock, so gentle you can't feel it when you stop. Thanks for the review, it is bringing back great memories!
