  1. Long time Hal cruisers here (3 star). On the last few cruises we took the Park West art auctions have really started to annoy us. The hallways are cluttered, a large lounge area is monopolized and it can get loud. We're not big art connoisseurs, but none of the stuff looks that great to us. Plus, we never see more than a handful of people participating in these things. Is this that big of a revenue generator for Hal to allocate this much space? Maybe we're off base and people love this. All we see is crap, clutter and noise.

  2. Unless the other guest is wearing a neo-**** tee shirt I think the correct thing to do is leave the Maitre d alone to do his job and quit worrying about what anyone else is wearing and eat your dinner.

    Amen

  3. Why do some folks worry so much about what other people are wearing? Personal hygiene I can understand, but clothes? Does it so negatively effect the dining experience to see someone without a jacket or tie on gala night, or, god forbid, in a collarless shirt? We pay money to cruise to have a good time, not sit in judgement of fellow guests. Leave the attitudes at home.

  4. What we have noticed:

-Lido far better: flow, layout, stations, no trays

-crew and service levels as good as ever

-dining room changes: portions smaller, no more cracked pepper service, salad dressing choices or parmesan cheese, quality still good

    -entertainment and activities still mediocre

-Park West art auctions still adding crap and clutter to large areas

    We're still fans.
