We would like to do some shopping, sightseeing and visit a beach while in St. Thomas and I am wondering if there would be any problems with renting a car for the day we are there? I assume it would be a cheaper option than getting a taxi or taking a tour and we like the freedom of doing as we please. How is it to find parking at the beach or in Charlotte Amalie? Is there any special license required (we have a U.S. license)? Would there be any reason that this wouldn't be a good idea?
