  1. I am waiting for 2016 British Isles schedules to be released. When they finally are published, is it best to book ASAP or wait to see if a fare reduction occurs? This will be our first Princess cruise unless HA can match the spectacular itinerary!

In recent years it has turned out that booking as soon as possible is the best choice. If fares drop prior to your final payment your travel agent can get you the new rate. That was true on the transatlantic that we have booked for this October/November.

  2. Hi everyone,

Now that Carnival has announced that when the Carnival Pride returns to Baltimore in late March she will be offering longer length cruises (10 and 14 nt options), I wonder if RCI will take the hint that longer length cruises from Baltimore would be most welcomed? We enjoyed the 12 night cruises that used to be available when Enchantment sailed out of Baltimore. Grandeur has shortened (10 night) versions of those Caribbean sailings, but it was so nice to have two more days in the sunshine. It would be wonderful to have both Enchantment and Grandeur sailing out of Baltimore.

All of the reports from the local Port Authority personnel indicate that the number of passengers sailing out of Baltimore continues to increase, so it appears that there would be many interested in longer length winter cruises. Perhaps RCI will be reading my wishful thinking.

  3. Thank you so much for sending me your albums! I have done a couple of them and I do know how much time is spent creating each page, deciding on the photos to use, what size each picture should be, etc. You did a very nice job in a short period of time. Thank you for sharing with all of us.

  4. We spent 31 days on the Ruby Princess and used the self service laundry several times. There is a small sink area in the laundry room. Under the sink there is a bucket. We were advised by a crew member to fill the bucket a couple of times and add the water to the washer while the water is first coming into the machine. The water comes in at a very slow rate and adding the water from the sink helps to cut down on the time needed to get your wash load started. Once the load begins, you do not need to add water at any other time. Also, you don't need to use the same amount of laundry detergent that you would use at home because of the softness of the water onboard. I used about half of the normal amount I would use at home. The dryers seem to take a bit longer than the washers.
