  1. I was amazed at the offer we were emailed. I then called NCL who said they could not match it. I paid my deposit by credit card ( for protection tbh!) but my reservation appeared in MY NCL a short while later!

     

    The drinks offer included the 18% grat. We only had to book flight to Barcelona

     

    I don't think I am allowed to name it but initials are 'VV',

     

    Really thick here but, can you give me another clue?

    Is it a UK site?

  2. On our previous NCL ships we have been issued with a small booklet type thing which shows the decks of the ship with amenities all marked.

    We go on Epic or the first time in January so will we get something simular then?

  3. Sailing on Epic in January and just wondered if solo passengers can get coffee delivered early in the morning for free?

    I know they can wander down into the solo lounge but they may not want to.

    Also anyone with advice for a solo cabin person who needs to store insulin in a fridge as I understand there are none in these types of stateroom.

    Also in a mini suite do they have coffee machines, or again, can coffee be delivered from room service.

    We are attending the above show in September and were looking forward to sorting out a couple of queries with Azamara.

    We have just received a list of exhibitors and neither RCL, nor Azamara, appear but, Celebrity does.

    Has anyone got any information as to if these two will be there and, if not, why not?

    • Has anyone a list of the sodas included?
    • Is fruit juice included?
    • What is the exact cost? as it says it is $6.95 per day + 18% + VAT when sailing from Spain. (we're sailing from Barcelona for 10 days}?
    • Can coffee be obtained anywhere?

  6. We have a cruise booked on Epic for January 2016 and before I went away for a month there was talk of room service charges but, only on two ships.

    To avoid having to scroll down everything, can someone let me know if that has been extended to all ships?

    Hope not as, it was part of the package we booked so, should be honoured for, at least, old bookings.

  7. We have a back to back cruise booked next year and we actually change stateroom for the final leg.

    Does anyone if we settle our account at the end of both cruises or, do we have to settle after the first cruise & then again at the end.

  8. Anyone know if there are restrictions on how you can spend OBC? For instance can you use it to pay gratuities or, in the Casino? or, do you have to use it for excursions, speciality meals etc.

  9. Thinking of booking on the Infinity but cannot make up our mind about which stateroom.

    Can anyone help us with the best deck to be on with regard to noise and which would be the best Ocean view staterooms & also the best veranda staterooms.

    It will be our first time on Infinity so any advice/tips would be very welcome.

  10. Can anyone help with a couple of questions about the UBP, water & coffee?

     

    I have the UBP and I know I will get wine by the glass in bars but, can you order several glasses in the restaurants?

    Seems silly to buy a bottle when you have glasses included in the package.

     

    Is free decaffeinated coffee widely available, including in the studio lounge?

     

    I have heard that, as the water on the ship is purified, it is fine to drink the tap water. Is this true?

    We are on the Diamond Princess Singapore to Sydney on 28th October 2014.

    All those of you that have been on her previously, I wondered if you would kindly answer some questions for me as I know every cruise ship/line is different?

     

    1. Mick threw all his suits away when he retired, so can he just wear a jacket & trousers to formal evenings? Does he need a tie?

    2. What exactly is the Oasis? and do you have to pay to access it and/or reserve spaces?

    3. Same question for the Sanctuary please?

    4. Are you offered a Thermal Spa pass to buy at check in? If so, what are the details?

    5. Is bottled water complimentary and can you ask your steward to remove the other contents of your fridge?

    6. Can you order coffee in your room first thing in the morning?

    Any other tips would be very welcome.

    yes, the Marketing Department is aware of the problem. The Company has specialists working on this glitch.

     

    I too thank Deirdre for posting about this one-week sale. The guidelines of CC ask that advertising not take place on this forum, and I am careful to not step over that line.

    That said, I'm thrilled you learned about the sale through the CC forum and have booked with us in 2014 :)

    They might say it's a "glitch", but it has been going on since 2011. I have never received emails in spite of registering many times and even had one email asking me for details of the problem but, when I replied - no response.

    It is appalling service - just as well the cruises as fantastic but, it does put you off even looking at the next one.

    We too are on your cruise and are beginning to get excited.

    Have you signed up for the meet & mingle from the roll call? I can't remember who's on there now but it will be great to meet everyone.

    We sailed on Azamara in 2011 and absolutely loved it, not one negative memory, so we are just longing to be back on board.

    Can anyone tell me where the Quest docks in Rhodes?

    I had assumed it was near the Old Town but see it says Lindos.

    If it is at Lindos town, are there any shuttles to the Old Town or, what is the best way of getting there?

  15. I get all my info about AZ from CC since I hear nothing from them directly. I fell off their email list over a year ago and can't get back on it, despite repeated requests and numerous sign-ups on their website. I also followed the advice of Bill Leiber to write LCV directly. They responded sympathetically and confirmed that I would be getting emails and brochures but still nothing. But I do receive emails from Celebrity, even though we've never sailed with them and likely never will.

     

    It bothered me initially but not anymore. I have gone from ticked off to indifferent. It really shouldn't be this difficult for a "loyal guest" to receive info. If I learn about some interesting AZ promo on CC we may act, otherwise I won't be chasing them! :p:p

    We too have repeated signed up for emails and have never received one. We never received a welcome home gift either.

    I did write an email of complaint in which I mentioned meeting Mr Pimentel in London and him reassuring me that these "hiccups" would be sorted.

    It went to the Miami office which passed it on to the UK.

    I then received a request for copies of all my previous emails, (about 10 since 2011), which I duly sent. Since then - absolutely nothing!

    I even tried sending it again and copied in UK customer relations & UK customer services using the email addresses given on CC. Still nothing, not even an acknowledgement.

    I am so fed up, what is wrong with Azamara?

    If anyone at Azamara monitors these boards, can they not look at this problem?

  16. We are doing the Singapore to Sydney cruise in October and it is our first cruise with Princess so any useful information/tips would be very welcome.

    Are there are drinks packages on the Diamond? I have been reading about so many different types but they never seem to refer to the Diamond.

  17. I have just completed my check in and everything was fine except, no luggage tags. but I assume these will appear nearer the time, (Sailing June 21st).

    The problem is that I can see nothing about our flights, or pre cruise stay, anywhere on either, the UK or .com sites, under My Azamara.

    I did manage to check which hotels are available for our cruise & it quotes either the Hilton or King George in Athens, but we have been told previously the Grande Bretagne.

    I tried ringing the UK office and got put through to someone who wanted to help me book a cruise!

    Eventually they said I would have to go through to Guatemala but I kept getting cut off.

    How can I access my details? or has anyone a number for Azamara in the UK that might help?

    I am so frustrated with all this hassle and would appreciate any help at all.

  18. On our last trip on the Quest, we arranged to have a pot of decaffeinated coffee delivered to our stateroom every morning at 7am.

    Five minutes before, we had a phone call to say it was on its way to give one of us time to grab a robe.

    This worked really well and we shall do the same again on our June sailing.

    Does anyone now if you can book a pre cruise package with Azamara if you are sorting out your own flights?

    We had flights & a hotel included as part of our "deal" but my brother booked at another time and has arranged his own flights which are the same as ours.

    To keep us all together, he would like to pay for a pre cruise package for the same hotel and with transfers.

    I cannot even find our pre cruise details on the web site let alone anything else, so thought I would ask my knowledgeable CC friends.
