I took my son on a cruise without my husband and I didn't need a letter. We cruised on Carnival.

I just got off the Breeze and had cabin service 2 times per day. The thing that peeved my the most was the cabin steward getting upset when he came to tidy up the room and we were still in there sleeping in the morning. He was actually ticked off that we were in our cabin.

Everybody is different, my wife and I only use room service as our wake up call. And get COFFEE, to get up and going for the day. Honestly they could have T-Bone and we'd pass, cause we will go down to dinner for that. But there just looking for and other way to make a buck. Which should not be a dirty word! However they have also raised there price, on there filtered water. It was $2.99 + TIP for 12 bottles. That's double the price anywhere around are home. Yet that wasn't enough! It's $3.99 + TIP now:eek:

I hear you on that one. Around here it is $2.99 for 24 bottles in the store, but for the convenience I guess it is worth it in the long run. It also is cheaper in the long run if you don't want to pay for an individual bottle of water when leaving the ship when in port. The thing that really bugs me is the requirement that every adult person in the cabin is forced to purchase the "Cheers" drink package. Not everyone drinks and for them to expect every adult in the cabin to purchase the package because of one is really not right in my opinion.

I cruise once a year usually at the same time, March ... I get these offers ALL of the time. Right now I have a premier, pack and play AND casino cash offers on my VIFP, along with the standard past guest etc. Last cruise I had the DOU card by the second day and had only dropped about $200 of my own money. They also gave me a steak dinner for 4 in the steakhouse, along with a free bottle of wine and sent an entire tray of cookies to my room a couple of different nights during the cruise.

I really don't spend that much of my own cash ever so I have no idea how they determine who gets offers and perks and who doesn't. My VIFP level is in the mid-gold range.

The question I have is if you book a cruise with one of the offers they give you can you only use that offer for one cruise or can you book 2 at the same time using the same offer. We are going to do a cruise in March and then a family cruise during the summer. I have the pack and play sitting in my account right now but am not sure if I can book 2 different cruises at the same time using the pack and play code for both. Anyone have the skinny on that?

Well I leave tomorrow with my 3 kids (Hubby didn't want to take a week off of work (even though he gets 5 weeks vacation a year) because he said he would be so stressed out when he got back trying to catch up - He does freight sales for a private Florida Railway) :( ... I didn't even book my cruise until last night and got extremely lucky! Couldn't believe it! I had gotten a mailer for a free interior cabin for 2 in the mail and of course there are always restrictions and with Spring Break for most schools in Florida next week I thought it would be impossible but gave it a go anyway. WOW!!!! Happened to score an interior cabin for 4 passengers for only $1000 (total price) for the 7night cruise to the Western Caribbean with stops in Cozumel, Belize, Isla Rotan and Grand Cayman. What a DEAL!!!!! Just couldn't pass that up! This will be my 5th Carnival Cruise but the first one on the Liberty and my kids (18, 17 and 13) are so excited!!! They have never been on a 7 day cruise and I am so looking forward to just relaxing and enjoying myself! I don't know how hubby is going to handle being alone for 8 days with the 5 dogs (HA ... 2 of my boy dogs are so attached to me that they are going to cry and cry until I come home). I think he now regrets not tagging along on this one! Weather is suppose to be good, seas may be a little rough but after checking last night the weather looks like it is going to be primed for a great tan! Everyone going tomorrow .....
