As usual i placed a $200 deposit while on board my last cruise for a future one. The date of that sailing (2021)has changed and we are unable to travel then, so I asked my TA (USA), to transfer it to 2022, same itinerary. She is insisting I either pay an extra $500 deposit or the price will increase by almost $3000 for the cruise if I don't.
In the past I have always been able to transfer the $200 from one cruise to another before final payment date.
If what the TA says is true, a double pricing structure is in place which penalises loyal customers.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi
Do you know if MSC is cruising to Cape town from Europe in Nov 2021? I am sure I saw this cruise advertised but can't find it now. Thanks

Hi
Does anybody know what has happened to the Roll Call for this cruise?

Hi Amion68,
We are in the same situation, booked flight, hotel and cruise package with 118. Contacted them on 16th March when MSC were offering refunds to UK passengers. If I had booked separately I could have had a refund directly, instead I was told to wait my turn, everything would be fine, and I would be refunded in due course. However MSC reneged on that deal and we are now only offered FCC. This is the only itinerary we are interested in, and like you cannot travel next April because of prior plans for next year. British Airways are offering refunds and again if we had booked separately we would have had this refund too. We were not even offered a partial refund for the flights. 118 should take some responsibility here instead of fobbing us off to insurance or credit card option. If it was a simple med or caribbean cruise I wouldn't mind so much, but we have a lot of money tied up in this 8 week trip. I did get a reply from twitter, just told to email them. Our contract is with 118.

MSC are not refunding UK passengers all. Apparently they have changed their policy.
Please let me know if anybody else finds themselves in this position.

Has Celebrity changed the deposit rules? Help please.

Thank you for the replies. Celebrity changed the sailing date for the cruise in question. It appears that (like Rick says) my onboard booking deposit has changed to a booking credit towards a future cruise. This was not explained by the TA who was rather aggressive in requesting a further $500 deposit.
Because booking flights from the UK is not ok at present I am reluctant to tie any more money in independent travel.
