  1. I had some trouble on a recent Harmony of the Seas cruise.  We were told that Hibachi had to be booked at Izumi and could not be done at any other restaurant.  This led to crazy lines at Izumi.  I was at Izumi at 11:30am on boarding day and could not get a DINNER at the Hibachi for the entire week on Harmony.

Ok. I'm checking in tomorroww via the app. Very excited. Returning to Symphony!

If your app opens for check-in tomorrow, you can do it tonight (at 12:01am) to secure the earliest time.   Be sure to have passports ready to scan in.

  3. Prior to Covid you could show up whenever.   Now, post Covid, the time IS the time to board.  The only way to get around this is to purchase "The Key" or turn back time and check in exactly after midnight on the first day you can select times.     Otherwise, you will wait, outside, until your boarding time.

  4. People who want to sleep in will never get a spot near the pool.

People who wake up early at 7am (like I do) and go to the pool and grab their spot (and maybe one for their spouse) always get a spot by the pool.

I keep my a$$ in chair, while waiting for said spouse to wake.  I may get up for 10 minutes to get a refill on my coffee.

When spouse arrives, we take 10 minutes to grab a plate of food from WJ to bring back to chairs to eat.

Sunbathe all day.   Getting up for 10-20 minutes at a time to cool off by nearby pool.

return to chair.  Apply sunscreen.   Leave chair empty for a few minutes to take a potty break.

Noon arrives... watch people who got to sleep in all morning get all pissy that the empty chair in the hot sun has a towel on it.

Sit in my chair with my drink and continue to enjoy my day.

repeat.  Pool, drink, sunscreen, potty break.

3pm arrives, grab belongings, return towels, go to room to take nap (since I woke at 7am to get this prime spot while you slept in).

    Wake, eat, party all night.

    Repeat.

  5. I am loving the pictures, but I'm curious why you were upset about the staff appeasing the woman ordering the fruit juiced that was custom blended with spinach - yet you post pics of CUSTOM food ordered in MDR that is not on the menu?   #Irony  (yes, I realize you were in line behind her, but I'm sure the chef working on your special meals had other meals to prepare as well!)

  6. I have an upcoming cruise booked on Oasis - not because of the itinerary (NY->Port Canaveral-> Nassau-> Coco Cay) but because of the ship:  Oasis.  We loved Harmony last month as our first Oasis class ship, and we are looking forward to doing another Oasis ship (this one with embarkation within driving distance from home).    I was telling a coworker about this upcoming cruise and he was like: "other than Coco Cay, those ports kinda suck!")   He is right, but I don't care.  We have a balcony, love the clubs, and will be doing unlimited dining!   Has anyone else booked a cruise primarily because of the ship?
