If you use the card for entrance to museums do you get to stand on a different, shorter line than the people waiting to pay their entrance fees? We are also considering the advantages of purchasing this card.

I see there is an I AM Amsterdam card that includes admission to a few museums and public transportation.
1. Will that card get you into the museums without having to wait on the long lines?
2. Is it worth it for a 3 day visit to Amsterdam?
3. There is also a museum card - strictly for museums - is that a better value?
Has anyone taken the free walking tours of Amsterdam? Which company did you use?
Thanks for the help,
Reba

Have been to Dickinson's Bay many times. We usually head to Sneaky Pete's over there because we know we can rent chairs, bar/restaurant there and we can always rent Hobie Cats.
We are heading to Antigua next week and have been reading some wonderful things about Valley Church Beach. How does it compare to Dickinson's Bay? Are there chairs/umbrellas to rent there and most important are there Hobie Cats to rent?
Thanks for the info.

I would love to know the answers to these questions also. Heading there next week.

After four visits to Barbados and hanging out mostly at the Boatyard I have just discovered that there are a few different Boardwalk areas. I see there is one section on the south side and another on the west side of the island.
Since we only have the one day which area of Boardwalk is the nicest? We would want to spend the day in that area, so would need some beach chairs and umbrellas and some lunch choices. How much would a taxi cost to that area?
Thanks for any information!

Are there chairs and umbrellas for rent at the beach? Any hobie cat rentals? How is the water - is it calm?
Thanks!

Do any of the hotels in Barbados offer day passes? Would also be interested in finding out if there are any all inclusive resorts on the island. We have been to the Boatyard four times and would love to try something different on our next cruise.
Thanks!

Anne Frank House is a must see - which is closest - Renaissance or Marriott?

I can't seem to download the walking tour of Amsterdam. Is that still available? If anyone can e-mail it to me at : arothman@aol.com - that would be great.
Thanks!

Since we have Marriott points we were thinking of using them in Amsterdam. Has anyone stayed at the Marriott Amsterdam or the Renaissance Amsterdam? Is either a better location for walking and seeing the sights?
Thanks for the help.

Thanks GradUT for the information. Will do exactly what you did and hope to use Pasadena taxi both directions.

Just curious what were the prices quoted to you for transportation to the port (Bayport?)
How did the cab prices compare to private car? We will be staying there in a couple of weeks prior to cruise.
Also how did you get back to the airport after your cruise?
Thanks!

We just got back from a cruise which departed from the Port of Houston (Baytown). We arrived a day early and stayed at the SpringHill Suites near Hobby airport. They have a free shuttle which will pick you up at the airport and they will also take you to any store, restaurant, etc. within 5 miles of the hotel. Our hotel rate for a room with 2 double beds and a sofa bed was under $110 per night (AAA rate).
The next day, we called Pasadena Taxi and they sent a minivan for our group of 4 and quoted us an estimate of $50 for the trip (Sunday morning). It was just under that amount (pre-tip).
GradUT: Would the rates for Pasadena Taxi be the same for just the two of us? Since it is a taxi cab company I would assume so. Did you call Pasadena Taxi in advance or just the morning of your cruise?
What did you do on your cruise return? Did you go directly to Hobby? Prearrange transportation or just grab a cab at the port? How much?
Thanks for all the advice!

How long from when you get off the ship to you are actually at Little French Key? Bus and boat ride total. Do they have sailboats?
Thanks for your response.

Would love to get some responses to these questions also.
Thanks.

Thanks for the info DRcruiser10.
I have booked a night at the Courtyard Marriott - they have a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Next I have looked into taking a cab to Bayport cruise terminal. Interesting enough yellow cab estimates a $75 fee and the Pasadena taxi company estimates $50. Both say it is a 30 min ride approx. 20-25 miles. Big difference for the same trip. Wonder why the difference.
Also have to look into at the end of the cruise getting back to Hobby Airport. NCL quotes $35 per person - but just hate to wait around while everyone boards the buses.
Thanks for the advice.

Are there any all inclusive resorts that you can buy a day pass?
A few years back we were scheduled to go to the Iberostar Resort but our ship ended up skipping Cozumel so never got to that resort. We would love an all inclusive resort that includes sailing - any suggestions?
Thanks,

We are flying into Houston Hobby Airport. Need a hotel for one night before our cruise. We would like a hotel that has an airport shuttle and then a shuttle the next day to the cruise ship port.
Does such a hotel exist?
Thanks,

Three years ago when we toured Alaska with NCL most days we would get onboard and end up going to dinner in the same clothes we toured in during the day. This time around we are doing Celebrity cruises. Do we need to bring "dinner" clothes along besides the formal clothes? Thanks for the advice.

What is the website for Harv and Marv's tour?
-
Another question - how do you contact any of the Sandals' resorts to find out how much a day pass costs? I don't see on their website any spot to ask questions about day passes.
Thanks again!

Was that $200 for a couple or for one person??

I see that both barbadosfora day and resortsforaday both use the Hilton Hotel. Has anybody been there? How's the beach? How much was the taxi ride?
Thanks.

Just wondering if I buy the Iamsterdam card or the museum card in advance do I still have to wait on long lines for entry into the museums or is this card a "go to the head of the line" card?
Thanks!
