I am trying to check in for an upcoming cruise 10-13-10/20 (2019). When I use the online platform, I can’t complete the process. It appears that my credit card details are not acceptable. I am using the same card that I used to book the cruise. The expiration date is 10/20. Could that be the problem? Solution? Customer service is swamped due to Dorian.

Not much of a line. 30-40 people. With no customs, and just showing your seapass card to exit, there’s really no delay at all.

Arrived Miami this morning on Equinox. Went to deck 5 with my bag at 6:45 AM. Off the ship at 6:55. At MIA at 7:10. Wow....that was easy. Worried about catching a 10:10 flight so I booked an afternoon backup flight on Southwest out of Ft. Lauderdale. Just cancelled that with full refund. I could have easily caught an earlier 8:45 flight out of MIA. I realize things can go wrong, but with no unexpected delays, disembarkation is a breeze.

Thanks for the suggestions. I bit the bullet and got one at Walgreens for $14. It works. Better safe than sorry. Off to the Port of Miami in a couple of hours for 10 great days on Equinox.

Stupid me. Made it to Miam for a cruise that leaves in the morning. Just found out when I tried to charge my IPhone 6 for the night that I brought a cord that fits my wireless speakers but not my phone. Totally lack of attention on my part. Question: do you think the Apple folks on board will “lend” me the simple cord for the cruise, or should I grossly overpay for one at Walgreens before boarding. I probably have 5 at home and don’t really need another.
-
Thanks. Sounds pretty straightforward.

With Internet included as a Go Best perk, what is required to establish connectivity once aboard?
-
Recent cruisers: is Chandon "champagne" still covered on the Premium package?
-
With Go Best offer, we have $300 OBC. It's quoted as $150 per guest. Does that mean we have up to $150 on each Seapass card, or is it a total of $300 any way we spend it?

I've got the mirror cabin on the port side, 1075, in November. Aside from being on the opposite side of the ship, the other difference is the room configuration, with couch (pullout) next to the window, while I believe your regular couch is closer to the bathroom. Looking forward to your review.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Related question: if I plan on taking an afternoon flight and want to relax on board while the masses disembark, what is the general time estimate for the last groups to get off?
-
I realize it's prudent to expect problems and book a flight out of MIA probably noon or later. My question is: if you absolutely had to get a flight earlier and were willing to take a chance, what are the best tips at beating the odds and catching a perfect Delta departure at 10:00 AM? Is it doable?

If one wishes to bring 2 bottles of wine onboard at embarkation, does it matter if they are in checked luggage left with porters, or do you need to carry them on and "declare" them?

1243 is a great midship location with extended balcony. 2157 is a great aft facing cabin, which many love for the views, but it also is located quite a distance from the nearest elevators/stairwell, which are midship. Also, 1243 is C2, and 2157 is C1, which will cost more. Either is a great choice.

It's quite annoying to be reading a review with lots of great photos when a certain post gets replied to with the entire stream of photos reposted again. Isn't there an easier way to do this? We've already seen the pictures, why have them fill half a page all over again?
-
Norris: thank you for such a thorough, and photographic review. I've been hesitant to bust into your thread, as I didn't want to slow you down. Hope to meet up with you on a big ship going anywhere sometime.

Disappointed that they followed the S Class design featuring no aft elevator/stairwell. Cmon, man....just a set of stairs would be nice.
-
Just curious.....how does the new World Class Bar compare to the old Molecular Bar? Similar or totally different menu? Is it the same decor, or did they change it?
-
Gotcha. Thanks for clearing up my misconception.
-
On Celebrity's website, the deck plan for Equinox still shows the Molecular Bar on deck 5. Gastrobar, which replaced Molecular, is shown on deck 4, across from the Martini Bar. I'm assuming the deck plan has not been updated? What is now in that space on deck 5 that still shows the Molecular Bar?
-
The individual bartender/server gets some credit.
Whatever.....just upgrade for sure. For a very small marginal cost it takes away a lot of stress and definitely gets you better quality glasses of wine, water products, martini bar participation, etc.
-
That cabin is fine. The slant is not at such an angle that privacy is compromised. It's a great central location with easy access to main elevators and stairwell.
-
If one wants separate beds in a cabin instead of the standard single bed arrangement, is that something to request during the reservation process, or do you just wait until boarding and ask the cabin steward to make the change?
-
I literally have the last cabin on the ship. I am going with an open mind and if I like it I will go again and if I don't then I won't go again.
I just booked it yesterday and paid for it today. I just had to get away and this was pretty much my only choice. I think it's meant to be as in the mail today was a postcard from Celebrity (addressed to resident) saying that it was time to book a cruise.
I know others from the Crystal board have been on Celebrity and enjoyed it. Don't see why I would be the exception.
PLEASE have no qualms. You will have a great experience on a beautiful ship with a professional staff. Disregard the negative reviewers. ENJOY.

Booked on Edge for Caribbean in March. CC Infinite Veranda. Enjoyed reading all the informative posts in this thread. Looking for pros and cons of bed location with the new “balcony” set up. We are currently booked with bed near balcony, but with many cabins still available, can switch configuration easily within CC category. Thoughts?
