  1. Does anyone know what time the porter will begin to accept luggage on the day of embarkation? I've been reading the reviews, and one thing in common is the mention of the heat of the day. Normally we are doing beach excursions so it doesn't really bother me, but we are planning on walking around OSJ, and going up to the fort. So I was thinking to check out early (we are going down a day early), and drop off luggage for 9am. Then doing sightseeing, and chilling out on the ship in the afternoon.

    Thanks in advance!

Hi Dvan, I have heard they start letting people in between 11am and 12:00pm. As for walking around Old San Juan as long as you wear comfortable clothing(shorts,t-shirt) you'll be fine. It is hot and humid but the sidewalks are almost always in the shadow so the heat doesn't affect you as much.Take care and enjoy.

  2. Great pictures everybody!!! I am sailing on Feb. 21, 2010, on the 7-day southern caribbean. Does anyone have puictues of the window in a 4G cabin? (specifically 7th floor, I am in cabin 7202)[/quote

    Hi youngone 94,

Just thought I'd say hi as my wife and I will also be on the Carnival Victory on Feb. 21. As for all of the pictures on this thread, I am just LOVING them. Great pictures by everyone LOVE them all. Keeps me daydreaming all day long at work hoping the time to embark comes quickly. Thank you all for the great pictures and keep them coming!!!!!!!:D

  3. This is not from personal experience, but just from what I have read on these boards. The Victory docks at pier 4 (I think) right across from Old San Juan. I am not sure about boarding time, but people have mentioned that that boarded, then got off the ship and did some sightseeing, then reboarded later in the day. Can someone else confirm this?

    THX!:D

I heard you can go in check everything out and then go back outside. You have to be back about half an hour before departure but to be on the safe side ask when you board because you still have to do the muster drill before the departure. Good luck and happy sailing, wishing you and everyone else a great trip. Planning on taking this cruise in Feb.2010.
