Does the water still come out into the room while showering? Thanks for the pictures.

Happy Birthday Andy. Hope your weather is as nice up there as we are down here.

Is it possible to get internet access in the terminal in Miami? Would it be the ship's internet or another unlocked one?

Several years ago, we were in Bonaire on a cruise. Just outside of the entry gate, a man was renting 3 wheeled triagular vehicles that held 2 people. Some had a top to shade the occupants. The driver used a motorcycle handle to steer and drive. Since there were 4 couples, we rented the vehicles and had a wonderful time touring the island. We found a place that had a beach and restaurant where we stopped to eat.
I'm wondering if the rentals are still available and does anyone know anything about the people renting them? Any assistance is appreciated.

The first time we went to Icy Strait, it was raining and we elected to stay on the ship. The second time, we went on a whale watch. It was one of the best one we've been on. The people were very helpful especially to my disabled husband who was using a wheelchair. Go and take the whale watching trip.

Having been in both, the bathroom is the biggest diffference between the CS and RS. There is a tub and a shower stall in the RS, the CS only has a very deep tub with a shower. It can be difficult getting in and out of the tub. The staff built a step but even that was difficult.
I love the open windows in the CS but cannot do it anymore.

My favorite accessible cabin on the Infinity or any M class ship is 8176 or the one below it. It is in the aft of the ship and in the middle so you can get a 180 view. We had this one on our Panama Canal cruise. Loved it. Want to do it again.
Have fun.

Solstice's Captain is the best.

2 things, IMHO. Port lectures not pushing shore excursions. There could also be lectures about ports where Celebrity docks by exciting and enthusiastic lecturers giving us just a preview of things that a person might want to consider doing. EX: show me some highlights from the Hawaii or NZ cruise ports. Might that not raise people's enthusiasm to take another cruise????
And then, it's get rid of the art auction.

Have been in the PH on the Solstice (upgraded) and it is wonderful. The balcony is the length of the suite and has lots of space for relaxing.
It is quiet and was never disturbed by any noise from above.
The bed is huge and very very comfortable. The main bathroom is overwhelming. It has a 2 person jacuzzi with a TV set, a 2 person huge shower and 2 sinks plus a toilet room.
The living room is very comfortable and the dining room table can accomodate 8 people.
The PH suite is in the middle of the ship and is very very nice.
I hope that this description helps your friends.

I would love to again book a CS but they do not have step-in shower which my husband needs, so I must book the accessible SS. I love the RS but as the price rises.......
In any case, the big suites are desireable for the room available.
I can understand why the reduced availablility of the additional perks if there are that many SS on board. Didn't realize that many were available.
Thanks for the reply

Does anyone know why the Sky Suites are not included in the new perks? A suite is a suite is a suite. Yes, it's only one room but then, don't call it a suite. Not fair for those people who paid a good amount for an affordable:confused: "suite".

I think that the automatic gratuities is a great idea although it can take away the personalization from the customer. Some stories: We were on a cruise where we didn't see the room steward, only his assistant for the entire 14 days. His assistant received an additional grat. from us for keeping us so very clean; We were having dinner in our room when, out of the blue, I became extremely ill, called the butler and room steward who were wonderful in cleaning up the MESS and I gave them each (the next day) a grat. from a grateful customer. This was just an extra and had nothing to do with the automatics or something at the end of the cruise. There was only one time that I didn't feel that someone did anything to make the cruise special and I'm sad to say that I did not give hime anything extra.
My husband is disabled and some of our assistants have been so very nice to them and I always recognize them with something that I know that they can use.
Finally, I do know that people have "stiffed" their people prior to the automatic gratuities.
Just some of my personal observations and coments.

We did a 7 day b2b out of Puerto Rico. We said goodbye to our friends from the first cruise and hello to friends for the second cruise. It was great. Because we were greeting the new friends, we elected to leave the ship to greet the friends in the terminal. We could gave just gone through customs but chose to leave the ship for our new friends.
Now we're taking a 14 day b2b in the month of January so escape the cold. We will be in the same cabin again and don't plan to leave the ship unless I have to do some personal shopping (which I hope I don't).
I am so looking forward to this. I hope that you book the same cabin and that you have a wonderful time. Good Luck

Hi Andy,
It's interesting that you mentioned possibly going to another cruise line. With the exception of going on Princess because our friends smoked, I've been very loyal to Celebrity. I now am thinking that I, too, may decide to try different lines. I just figured out that if I cruised 28 days a year (as we're doing next year), it would take me 53 years to make it to Zenith. We're + now. I still like Celebrity but listening to all of the cost cutting measures for the prices that we're paying may test my loyalty to Celebrity

Thank you to all who responded to my question. The pictures after seeing the size of the balcony relieves me of my doubts. Thank you again.

We did a B2B in Puerto Rico. You do have to exit the ship through customs but you can get right back on.
When we did it, we were expecting friends so we exited the ship then went around and reentered the building and waited for our friends in the waiting room.
We're doing a B2B in Miami and plan to get right back on the ship and to to the pool area.
I think that an excursion would be great to the Rain Forest.
Good Luck.

I'm sorry to be so precise about an accessible stateroom but I've booked the Sky Suite on b2b cruises and now I'm having second thoughts. The description says that the balcony is 50 feet but a Concierge Accessible roombalcony is 90 feet. The only problem with the CC room is that it is towards the front of the ship.
Has anyone been in the Acc. Sky Suite and was there difficulty getting onto the balcony?
Thanks for your assistance.

We're staying in a S2 Accessible and the balcony is 59 feet or less. That is VERY small.

Terry, how low would they go? (helicopter). I know that you take really good pictures and probably have zoom lenses, but would it be the same as walking the bridge? I was going to do the walk but my PT said that I couldn't because I would have to go up 4 flights on a ladder and right now, that's out for me.

Enjoying your review. Keep it up

Thanks for the pictures and comments. We will be in a cabin on that floor for a month and, I guess we'll learn to keep wax in our ears, if necessary. I'm just planning on enjoying a warm relaxing month. The pictures show that we can do it.
