  1. Yes - Priority Baggage, who operate the luggage storage facility at the pier, are also part of the company who run the ones at the airport. For $40 they'll send up to 4 bags, $10 per extra bag, to YVR by around 4:30pm. As long as you book a flight at 6:30pm or later you should have enough time to collect the bags at the YVR location in your terminal before you check in, do security, immigration if flying back to the US etc.

Thank you! This will be a great help.

  2. I don't know if this question has been discussed before so I'm sorry if it's a repeat. How does Canada Day impact Canada Place and public transportation? We are considering a Southbound that disembarks in Vancouver on July 1 which I just learned is Canada Day. We were considering touring Vancouver for the day (Grouse Mountain, Capilano Suspension Bridge, or a HOHO tour) then getting a late flight out that night. Is this an unreal expectation in light of it being Canada Day?

  3. I remember a while back someone posted the nightly menus for Radiance of the Seas, but after searching for quite a bit I can't seem to find them :( Would anyone happen to know where they may have been posted? Trying to figure out the best night to do a specialty restaurant. Thanks!

  4. This is correct. Penalties are assessed for cancellation of passengers 1 and 2. If you drop off passengers 3-?, then they are refunded in whole for their costs. So that's why it makes sense to book that third/fourth person in the cabin, then decide later if you want to cancel them.

Great! Thank you for your responses. That's what I was hoping, but sometimes you never know.

  5. I currently have a booking with 3 people under the original BOGO (2nd, 3rd and 4th passenger 1/2 off), but the 3rd person may move to another cabin as the 2nd person in that cabin. If they drop out of my cabin, will that change my pricing for the 1st and 2nd people? We won't know for several months if they are definitely moving out so we can't take advantage of the current BOGO and I don't want to move them out now because if the plans fall through then I may not be able to get them back in our cabin if the muster station is full at that point. So basically, I'm hoping that at if several months from now I have to cancel one person, I don't lose my pricing and OBC, especially since that pricing wasn't contingent on a 3rd person and they don't have an OBC. Hope that makes sense:confused:

  6. No, you do not have to put down any name..and probably better that you don't.

The booking will be made just like mine was (booked directly with RCI) 2nd person in that particular cabin is "TBD"...easy to do and I had no problem making this booking.

I'll give RCI the name of that "To Be Determined" passenger just before final payment...or sooner if he decides who will be going with him.

That's what I was hoping for! Great, thank you :)

  7. Yes...always a good idea. I booked four cabins for 2017 and not sure who my adult son would be bringing, and so I booked the 2nd person in his cabin as a TBD locking in 30 30 sale rate on HOS (amazing rate I couldn't pass up) :D:D.

How does that work? I was wondering if something like that was possible as we have the same situation. Adult daughter is definitely bringing someone, just not sure who, and I don't want to lose pricing, or availability. TIA:)

  8. Just booked the Clarion for the end of May next year.....the prices are -not- on line after mid-May so you'll want to call direct.

When the prices for "High Season" finally hit the website....they're expected to be appx $90 more than today's call in rate.( we paid $149)

I verified free shuttle to/from the train station and the airport

Would you mind sharing the phone number you called? I just called for next June and was told they wouldn't have the rates available until September

  9. Also it should have been a "different" type of glacier area, with more ice rather than the snow packed area of the dog camps.

That's what I'm looking for. I want to experience the dog mushing but also the blue ice. Now just to convince the rest of my group to spring for the $$:D

  10. Yes, we booked with them summer 2013 for the same reason. We figured if the flight was cancelled in Seward then we could try Juneau. It was actually a little less in Seward too, but not worth booking just for that reason. We flew to a glacier and then did the dog sledding excursion. it was so much fun and we think that was one of the highlights of our time in Alaska! The camp seems smaller in Seward then what I have seen advertised in Juneau, but that was fine. The mushers were young men and fun to talk with. There was a delay in the helicopter returning for us and it was raining so they invited us into their large tent, entertained us with stories and the heater in their tent kept us warm and dry (it was rainy that day). We still talk about how much fun that was!

Thank you for your response! At this point we are leaning towards Seward, glad to hear it was a good experience. :)

  11. We would like to do a Helicopter Glacier Landing during our cruise next year. We were going to do it out of Juneau but we see there is a company that does it out of Seward. We are thinking it would be great to do it pre-cruise to free up our Juneau day for something else as well as give us an opportunity to possibly reschedule it should it be cancelled due to weather. Has anyone used Seward Helicopter Tours and if so, how was it?
