  1. Looking at airfare JetBlue Boston to San Juan RT for 2- saw $875 yesterday, $782 today.

Is this about the average for March??

Trying to decide if I should jump on this or hold out for a better deal-advice??

    Not used to March rates!!!

REALLY don't want to miss out on this cruise as it will be 1st Celebrity.

  2. I almost called to book through that site, but decided it was too good to be

true. I googled reviews of site and discovered you need to listen to a 90 minute presentation about surf shop- check first!!

If you google fly, snooze, cruise cocoa beach you will see options.

We just booked Hampton Inn for October as we did it last year and it worked great for us.

I need a place with breakfast buffet!!

We took bus back to MCO but then stayed at the Embassy Suites Airport Sunday night-relaxing after cruise and got better price on flight home Monday. Doing same this fall.

  3. I got in on the Freedom of the Seas Promenade rooms for $369 pp next October. I booked directly as it was over the weekend, and also applied a $75 savings cerificate.

I then transferred the booking to my TA who was amazed at that deal (it never showed at that price on agency's website):D AND got $50 OBC by being placed in a group booking.

She is a local TA who I have used for years though.

  4. My DH and I are booked with Bob Cass in November. I e-mailed him about the excursion and received a prompt reply.

I can't swim so I will use a noodle and fins. I wear hard contacts at $225 a lens, so worried about water in mask. I purchased "prescription" goggles from Amazon for $20 so I can put my face in the water and actually see something-skipping the snorkel and mask though!

Sounds like a great day! Hope we get Bob himself:)

  5. Is the afternoon tour the exact same as the morning tour? I'm thinking it might be cooler temps in a.m., so do the tour then casino or whatever.

    Looks really fun!

  6. Just showed this to my DH- we will be on the Oasis next month and I think your review has convinced him to give the MDR a try for breakfast and lunch.

We were on the Allure 11/11 and found the WJ to be very crowded and smaller than the FOS buffet area. I think we will try the MDR and if he is still hungry (or thinks he missed something!) we can always do a quick WJ trip too.

I loved your pictures!! Will be looking for the lemon tart:)

  7. We just had balcony cabin 8160 on Allure of the Seas, near the stairs and Central Park. Seemed like a great location, but... there was a service area across the hall, and stateroom attendants and room service staff went in and out starting VERY early in the morning:mad:.

It seemed like no one tried to close the door quietly behind them, they just let it bang shut. Luggage came through that door as well-it was a large area for carts, etc. Best to avoid if possible- perhaps closer to 8150 would have been better...

  8. Patty G- I just sent Eastern Compasses & Menus to you. Not sure if I had alredy sent. Someone sent to me several weeks ago & I have been forwarding on since. keep passing.

Also Patty- You commented about not being able to restock in foreign ports.

2 yrs ago we were sailing the NCL Majesty to Western Caribbean. Our last stop was key West. As we got off the ship- 2 beer Distributors pulled up to deliver Bud Lite & Corona. They needed restocking for the last leg of cruise. We were told then that they could not take on stock while in foreign ports. I joked that we had justleft mexico- they should have gotten Coronas while there.

It was early March- Spring break week & 40% of the ship was college students. The majority had a bucket of Bud Lite or Corona in their hand AT ALL TIMES. We were told the next week - 90% of the passengers were college students. We decided then - we would never cruise in March or April.

That was the day we 1st saw the Freedom of the Seas. It had recently started sailing & was docked at key West. Our small majesty looked like a shrimp boat after seeing the BIGGEST SHIP FLOAT.

That day we said if we dream big- next time we would be on the BigBoat. We sail 11/8.
