  1. Still no reply, no confirmation from our web-based reserveration. No reply to the e-mail I sent. I've been checking the spam folder every day but nothing there.

I'll check in with my iPad and let you all know if he was there when we arrive in St. Thomas. <crossing my fingers>

Let me know if you hear anything. I'm going to try again. If there's not a tour available when my ship Freedom of Seas is there, at least they could let me know. We are there on December 3rd, Noon - 7pm.

  2. I'm having the same trouble with Godfrey's Tour. I've emailed and submitted form. I was just curious if he had an afternoon (12noon) tour for those ships (FOS) that don't arrive until Noon. I leave in 11 days so any suggestions on other tours?

I liked his because it was a tour, beach and shopping. Through in the free drink and it was a good deal! :p

  3. Royal does not give credit of any kind for price drops after final payment date.

However, if a better category stateroom has also come down in price, you may be able to get a free or low cost upgrade. You would have to contact whoever booked your cruise.

Thanks for the quick response! I knew I'd find the answer here. Might be checking out that balcony upgrade for less than $100. It's for a guarantee (x) category, so not sure what I would get from that...luck of the draw.

  4. So I never expected this to happen but my cruise coming up at end of November has dropped $300!?! With CCL, I was able to call because of price protection and get onboard credit, etc. Does RCCL offer anything like that? My first (and only cruise) with Royal Caribbean went up in price before I left.

I booked a (G) Oceanview and while the price has gone down $300, the (G) Balcony is only $100 more than what I paid for OV. I booked through an online travel site and now they are offering specialty dining, pre-paid tips, onboard credit, etc.

My question: am I just S.O.L. with Royal Caribbean and travel site where I booked? If you don't know what that stands for...google it.

Not angry at all because I know things happen and maybe ship is struggling to get full? But just curious if it even be worth a call? Has anyone had any luck?

  5. If I recall correctly, a judge threw out the case brought against the Port Authority/Carnival so plans for the new terminal could proceed. That was just a few months ago where I read that. Hope that stays true because while I didn't mind the process, it'd be nice to have a new terminal. I've boarded within 15-20 of arriving to terminal and always self-disembark so my luggage is always with me and I'm off the ship as soon as customs allows. Then right off to taxi stand, no problem. I enjoyed the port, especially since Charleston is just a few hours away.

  6. I just called my TA and she went into the RCI system (she said) and it's still showing St. Thomas for my Nov. 30 cruise.

Either way, if St. Thomas then I'll do the St. John excursion. If San Juan, then great because I've never been there before.

More importantly, I'll be on a cruise!!!

  7. It's very odd. When I try to do a mock booking, it shows St. Thomas. When I click your links above, it shows San Juan initially but when I click past the "dates" screen, it says St. Thomas. I'm looking at other sites and can't find ones that say San Juan.

Oh well, I guess I'll just call them up tomorrow and ask for sure.

  8. I've stayed twice at the Courtyard Jacksonville I-295. Nice rooms, Starbucks inside, good food and friendly. Also across from Wal-mart should you have forgotten something. Best this is transportation to port. It's personalized...meaning you don't have to wait for a large group or take a tour bus. You leave when you want. If they don't show package on website, just call and book. ImageUploadedByForums1397011389.514314.jpg.3e472a58ddce779a4acd61005c85e227.jpg

  9. I had the same dilemna just this past week while on the Fantasy. I saw on CNN while in room a chance for snow when I returned so I needed to know about driving conditions.

First thought, send a fast email (pay by minute) then go back later to check. I tried and the connection was SO slow, it took 2 minutes before the page even loaded.

Knew with AT&T after their charge and ship charge, it'd be a lot more, I decided to go with Room phone. It was well worth the $1.99/minute. I just told the person at home to talk fast. LOL. :p

  10. Ok, I found the one I was talking about...whew...I would have never thought it was called the bikers shuffle.

Is this the one you're talking about?

YES! That's it! I KNEW someone on here would know that. I never thought it was called Biker's Shuffle.

    THANKS!:D

  11. So, I just left the Fantasy this morning and drove home into snow with more to come. As I'm starting to work on my review to post here on the Fantasy(my first time), I'm trying to put together some music and needing help finding a song.

During the Caribbean Deck Party, they played several "line dance songs." I'm trying to find the one that contains the words (I think), "shuffle to the front, shuffle to the front." Then a slide and eventually, you shuffle to the back, shuffle to the back.

I know it's NOT: Cupid Shuffle, Cha-Cha Slide, Wobble.

Any other idea? I just know it had quite a bit of moves so I was a little confused for a while, especially since most of the song didn't have the "words." If not for a very helpful lady telling me the moves, I'd really been loss.

ANYWAY, I know it's an odd request but just curious if anyone knows the dance and/or song.

I hope to start my review tomorrow afternoon! :D

  12. UNC1ACC, when we traveled out of Charleston, we arrived at the terminal about 10:45. We had to wait until 11:30 until they opened the parking lots. They have limited parking space and have to wait until the previous guests leave before they allow arriving guest to park. From security to on board took 20 maybe 30 minutes MAX.

Thanks. I'll be coming by cab from hotel across the bridge. Glad to hear the embarkation process is quick an easy. Thought about getting the FTTF but if it's that short, no need.

My countdown is on....really feels weird now looking outside my house with 2+ inches of snow coming down and more coming.

  13. When signing in, you are given a piece of paper with questions asking if you've been ill recently. I don't remember all the questions, but the answer is always "NO!" No way in "H" would I give up my DNA just to board the ship. There's no way for them to test anything. What if they wanted to test for STD, how would you feel about that? Wash your hands and keep your fingers out of your mouth. I see people licking their fingers all the time when eating. That's how you get sick.

A STD? Really? Last time I checked, you couldn't get one from touching a hand rail, serving utensil, etc.

  14. This is not a brand specific question, even though we've all seen the news recently but I started wondering...Is there some way at check-in, they could swab your mouth and test for Norovirus? You don't board unless you get a negative test? I'd gladly pay an extra few bucks to be assured folks weren't lying when they sign the waiver saying they haven't been sick or been around people who were in the last 48 hours. I mean, they have it for many other medical conditions.

Just a question, no need to put someone on blast and how this would be a rights infringement or be linked to some government spying agency.
