  1. I did and referred to the fine print that it only excludes the Quantum, but I felt bad for the individual as I kept peppering him with comments and questions. I wish some day, their supervisors who has some cojones, would get on the phone and explain the misleading statements. I ended by telling him that I would wait for the so called better sale (joke) for me to book the August, 25, '16 sail to NE/Canada.

I don't thinks it's misleading but I do think they dropped the ball completely on adding the exclusions for the newest ships.

  2. Went to three levels and still not approved, even checked last time as I am D+ and told 50% off did not apply to Harmony. I have many screen shots to document the lack of this info being on the website. I will keep fighting and you have just given me even more ammo for the battle, thank you.

Exactly what my argument was. Nowhere does it say online that Harmony is excluded. At first they just wanted to offer me additional OBC but glad I didn't settle.

  3. I also just spent over an hour on the phone with them trying to get it applied to Harmony but was told I would have to call Resolutions on Monday to argue the point.

I would call back and speak with someone else. Our vacation planner had to contact his boss who than contacted there boss to get it approved. It took forever but well worth the savings. We booked two cabins and both were approved.

  4. The only ship it excludes is Quantum of the Seas. The Anthem also has its own promotion, but all other ships are included in the sale. Congratulations on booking the Harmony, she looks like a great ship. There are some pretty good deals on the sale, especially for bigger families.

It won't let you book it online plus when you call they try and tell you it excludes the 4 newest ships for the 50% off 2nd-4th guest. I spent over an hour on the phone trying to get them to approve it.

  5. Anthem being a new ship will be excluded from most of the promotions. Book now if the price drops before final payment you just call and get the new lower price. (Applies for those that booked in North America)

What's odd is that the terms and conditions only says it excludes Quantum of The Seas only. I'm actually on the phone trying to get them to offer this for The Harmony.

  6. Half the ship sick?? LoL a bit overboard with that statement. It obviously got worse during the cruise as they stepped up pre-cautions at the end. Only so much the crew can do with nasty a$$ people on the ship who don't wash their hands. I saw people try and pass the barrier they put up in the WJ to skip washing their hands.

I was on the ship that sailed 3-21. This was no small outbreak. I am sure RCL wants everyone to think that. I was at dinner one night and felt fine. I suddenly got sick to my stomach - projectile style. I left the room and went to my cabin to change and go to bed. Meanwhile, they sent a Hazmat crew to clean the area and got my cabin information from my friends. They called me at 10:30pm and sent an escort to take me to the Medical Center. There were other people already there, and the staff said that norovirus was going around. Because I did not show the symptoms of the norovirus and was probaly just a little seasick (northern Atlantic can do that.....) they let me go. Many others were quarantined to their room, not allowed to leave for 24 hours! By the end of the cruise they wouldn't even let people touch salt and pepper shakers. This was nothing minor. Another friend of mine contracted the flu on the ship! Half of the ship was sick. It was a mess. They were cleaning thoroughly and playing happy little "wash your hands" songs but people just don't wash properly and in a confined space, this crap just flies around! They were trying really hard to control the germs to no avail.
  7. I was also on this sailing. In addition to the Purell hand sanitizer stands at the entrance to the Windjammer, there are sinks for washing your hands (great idea). At the beginning of the cruise, the "washy washy" staff, asked people to use the Purell sanitizer but didn't insist that the sinks be used. Towards the end of the cruise, the entrance was roped off so you had to wash your hands before entering the Windjammer. There were about 6 sinks that had sensors so you didn't have to touch them, although you had to press the soap dispenser. I was told about 150 people became ill.

To add to this... They also had staff at the entrances of the casino with a bottle of santizer making sure to catch everybody.

  8. We all got letters on our doors yesterday evening stating a small percentage of people have contracted the Norovirus. What that actual percentage is, I don't know. However they seem to be taking higher precautions and ensuring everyone is sanitizing there hands prior dinner service last night. I wish they would make everyone do it anyways because there is some nasty folks. As normally they're always cleaning. I made a comment to one gentleman who walked out the RR without washing his hands. I got ignored though but worth the try and embarrassment he got as there was other people around.

So far cruise has been GREAT! Minor glitches but nothing major to disrupt me from having a good time. ;)

  9. What I am hoping to try out is purchase a single device unlimited package. Connect my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone (Android) to the internet. Then switch on tethering (not sure if apple has evolved enough to have this feature yet, but android been doing it for years) and turn my phone into a wifi hotspot, then link other devices to it, i.e. wife's phone, my tablet, my camera, wife's tablet.

This should work and only register one device connected to the ship's wifi. The only draw back to this is that the other devices have to be in range of the S5 phone to get the internet connection. Majority of the time this will be fine.

I will let everyone know if this works, unless someone travelling before me can do this. I travel in July 2015.

Currently crusing and when I disabled carrier data function it takes away the personal hotspot option. This is iPhone 6 tho.

  10. Confirmed for the March 21st as well. Just purchased the 2 device unlimited. With 10% off it was $144. We are 8 day sailing as well.

Just got off the 3/13 Quantum cruise. (we had an 8 day bahamas cruise so prices relfect the 8 day package)

Unlimited (2 devices) was $160 ($10 per person per day) before your Crown and Anchor discount - We are Emerald and it was 15% off.

Unlimited (1 device) was $120 ($15 per day)

Daily (valid for 24 consecutive hours) was $29.95

Hourly (valid for 60 minutes throughout the cruise) $29.95

Using Royal IQ to text/call other cruisers on the ship was free.

    Hope that helps!

  11. Itinerary changed for March 21, 2015 sailing changed, eliminating an overnight in Labadee.

I just confirmed with Morgan, a customer service representative that our itinerary has been changed! He did not have it the change listed, but after I explained to him that in the calendar the itinerary is showing time changes, he checked with his supervisor, and did confirm he change with me.

    The new itinerary is:

Day 4 - Arrive San Juan 4PM (this is the same). Departing 1 AM (this is a change)

Day 6 - Arrive Labadee 8:00 AM (this is a change). Depart 5:00 PM (this is the same)

All other days remain the same.

I just looked at our interary and it now has an over night in San Juan, the24th and 25th. Departing the 25th at 0100.
