  1. I asked the Concierge on Quantum of the Seas tho check if there is an unlimited photo package. Below is the reply from the Photo Manager. I did not inquire about any other packages.

On Quantum we have a different structure as any other ship base on the technology that we have here.

We do not have unlimited package, what we have is a 50 images package for $480 and if the guest want more images they can add as many as they want for the cost of only $9.60 each instead of $20 full price.

Interesting... Wonder how there "technology" differs from Allure or Oasis to not offer an unlimited package

  2. I didn't think they would know so I have it a shot and called anyways. He placed be on a brief hold and came back with an answer. So who knows I guess I'll find out soon lol

No way the rep could know this. I had to call and have them change my preprinted luggage tags last week. We had previously changed staterooms back the end of August and my luggage tags were showing the wrong deck and wrong room # for our upcoming Allure cruise. The rep looked at it and says she doesn't see where there is a room # on the luggage tag. I had to explain to her that the big 9 was the floor and scroll down to see the 3 numbers and that was the room number LOL.

She thanked me and after a couple of times on hold (where she had to ask someone else how to do this, I assume) and the luggage tags were correct the next day.

My point is, most of the RCI reps are not familiar with the ships or even cruising for that matter. I heard they hired a lot of new reps, right after the 1st BOGOHO sale, due to heavy call volume.

    Go Figure!!

  3. Be sure to check the online price ahead of time. I bought the package online for $225 for freedom last week and on board they were selling it for $350!! They did run a $50 off promo at the start of the cruise but that was still significantly more than i paid ahead of time.

It seems it is always $100 to upgrade to both once on board.

I thinks it's a hit n miss at times. I was on Navigator this past week and to buy it in advance I couldn't find it cheaper than $324... I decided to take the chance to purchase on the ship and it ended up being $299 for the first 3 days then $349 the remainder of the cruise. I am curious if they would refunded the difference if I did purchase in advance and said something. (I'm referring to Photo CD and prints)

  4. My family is sailing next year on the allure. We have a 9 year old and 2 year old. I have a few questions.

    1. What shows are the best for my 2 year old?

    2. I read they offer toy bags to take to your room for the week. Is that true?

    3. What is the best stroller to take?

    4. How early do you need to be to get a good spot to watch the parade? How often is the parade?

    5. Any other tips would be helpful including ideas on certain items not to leave without.

    Thank you

We took our one year old on the Navigator this past week and i think he had a blast. Received so much attention from everyone.

-we didn't watch too many shows as he didn't stay still for too long so we left

-we bought a small descent quality stroller "graco breeze" and it worked very well. Easy to fold up and comfortable for the lil guy

-yes you can take bags of toys free of charge as well as trade them for new bags of toys anytime you want

-I can't remember if they had changing tables in the restrooms on the allure but they didn't have a single one on the Navigator. Hopefully he/she will be potty trained by that time

-take lots of snacks, this keep our lil one under control at dinner well until he ran out the last 2 days. We thought we had enough :(

    -lots of nap time

Of course our lil one is smaller but might be somewhat helpful info

As for the haters who say don't take kids! They can suck it!!! It's a family cruise not an adult inclusive ;)

  5. I was on the Allure last week and had the one device unlimited. With the 2-device you get two login ID's.

We used the one device plan and shared it between 4 devices. Never needed to log off - signing onto a new device just kicked the prior user off. So you definitely need to set up some ground rules or specific times for each person.

I'm on the Navigator currently and have the 2 device unlimited and only have one user ID. We logged both devices with the same user ID with no issues.

  6. We have six family members, each addicted to at least one internet connected device. Is the unlimited-two device plan sharable among lets say 10 devices, assuming people log off when they are done? Is there a timeout where it will log you off automatically?

Of course, it will remain to be seen if the family can actually share...

My wife was logging off/on between her iPhone & iPad with no issues while I stayed continuously logged on. Never had it log any of us off automatically not was there a time delay while switching devices.

  7. We booked 6290. From the deck plan below, I think we are okay. We have a big wall on the side, but by the picture, it looks like a rather large balcony?

Looks larger than others. Take a look at cabins 6162 or 6562 as they are the same size balcony as the one you currently have picked out. Compare your staterooms to one of the rendering and I think 6162 or 6562 might a in a better spot as it'll be only hendered by one versus two lifeboats.
