  1. Hi Stacy!

I'm a bit late to the party but I just found this review and had to comment. First of all, you did an excellent job! Beautiful pictures!!

I love that you got to go to Paris before the cruise. The picture of your your feet with the wine bottle at the Eiffle Tower was so great!

We took a 25th anniversary cruise on the Brilliance of the Seas in October of 2010 so some of the ports were a reminiscence for us. It was also so much fun to read about ports we did not travel to, especially Sicily which I want to go to some day. Both of my Dad's parents came from Palermo as well so I really want to go there but I see most ships stop at Messina.

We used Rome in Limo for both Florence/Pisa and Rome and it could not have been better. We too were able to get right into both the Vatican and Academia. Our Vatican tour guide was Sarah too and she really does move you through quickly - she was really good!

I see you also ate at Da Constantino in Positano! That was my favorite meal on the trip. We were there in the beginning of November which is their slow season and they opened the restaurant just for our group of eight! They also gave each couple a free bottle of wine to take home.

I will be looking for more reviews from you - you do such a great job!!!

  2. Okay...here's Taylor's photo of the ceiling:

Of course, I wouldn't have had to tell you which kid it was...you could probably figure it out all by yourself.

These new smart phones that take photos "sneakily" are going to give the guards at the Sistine Chapel some fits, I can tell.

OMG!!!!! I have these same photos with a different face. My DH insisted on taking a couple sneak photos since the reason isn't because it would damage it but because a Japanese company funded the restoration and has the "rights". He said he was taking the pictures with a Sony so it should be allowed.

  3. Hi Sherri!

We must be related. I too had a binder for our trip with dividers by port. I printed my Vatican tickets and promptly forgot them in our room. I had to do the walk (or rather the run) of shame back to the room to get them. It was especially embarassing because I was the one who booked all the tours (we used Rome in Limo in Pisa/Florence and Rome as well). I got people to join us on the tours from here on CC and I was the only one to forget my tickets.. I am loving your report!!!!

  4. Oh my gosh! I laughed right out loud at your alarm story. I cannot believe that security did nothing. When we were there there were 2 guards right next to David and they would reprimand people for taking pictures.

We used Rome in Limo too for Florence and Rome. We also climbed Pisa - that was my dream since I was a child and it was worth it. Really enjoying your TR - hope you and your daughter have a fantastic cruise!

  5. Anxiously awaitng next post. This is so much fun. First, I love your ship - it's a sister ship to our ship the Brilliance so it makes me feel right at home. Second, I love hearing about your Klingons - I have two of my own (boys 17 and 22) who were a bit put out that they didn't get to go on our Med cruise- hey, it was my 25th wedding anniversary. Your kids react in much the same way mine would in these situations. Thanks for shaing your trip!!!!!
