  1. Here is a thread with more info on this topic:
  2. Thanks - appreciate the replies
  3. Can you cancel your bid if you decide to rather take the price drop?
  4. I can see this is the case at the Specialty restaurants but what about Taste/Tropicana where the queues can get very long at peak times?
  5. I have made restaurant reservations at both Specialty restaurants and Taste/Savor/Tropicana Do those with reservations still need to join the queue for the majority who line up without reserving a particular time? Or do they have a separate "fast track" line for those with reservations?
  6. Thanks much appreciated. I would hate to lose my perks!
  7. I am thinking of putting in a bid on a Haven cabin. Would it mean that I would lose all the Free at Sea perks I received with the mini suite I booked? I thought that those Free at Sea options I took (incl bev package and specialty restaurants) would just move over to the new Haven cabin (if my bid is successful). Or is this not the case?
  8. Yes agree with your post John. However as I mentioned in the quote above, Pilansberg and Waterberg are also excellent choices. We have always seen plenty of animals at both Waterberg/Entabeni and at Pilansberg for a fraction of the price that you will pay at Sabie Sands. For this reason, I personally would not recommend Dinokeng: you pay the same price as at Entabeni and Pilansberg but you don't get to see nearly as many animals. If you have the money, of course Sabi Sands is the ultimate choice! I have only been there once and it was indeed a special experience. I wish you a wonderful trip to Tanzania!
  9. Just back from Leopardsong in Dinokeng. The area is very convenient to the airport and Pretoria and the staff are fantastic. However the game viewing was not good at all. While we were very fortunate to see a rare black rhino as well as 3 white rhino, we did not see any of the other big five. We did see plenty of zebras, kudu and giraffe. Not many birds either and no crocodiles or hippos. While this was not a big problem for us as we are able to do this kind of trip annually, I can imagine that it would be very disappointing for someone who can only do a safari as a once in a lifetime trip.
  10. Thanks - I appreciate your reply and thank-you for the excellent review too!
  11. We are considering this cabin but we are worried that the sofa bed will not be comfortable for 2 children to share (10 and 13 years old). Would appreciate if anyone has any photos of the sofa bed made up and/or if you have experience of using the sofa bed for two children
  12. I see you were in a Haven 2 bedroom. Did anyone make use of the sofa bed? I have 2 tween children and I am wondering if the sofa bed will be comfortable to sleep 2?
  13. Hi ColoradoTravel Lover I have similar questions regarding the sofa bed in the H6 and was wondering if you went on your cruise and how it was for your children?
  14. Anyone back from the Getaway that has used the HOHO this year? I have read many mixed reports. Are there regular HOHO buses from Nynashamn to Stockholm?
  15. Happy to assist. We have travelled the world extensively but always find that our safaris are an absolute highlight and we never tire of them. It's great to share this passion. The experience of being amongst wildlife is very precious.
