If specific tours are sold out, they are sold out. You waited too long to book.

There is no reason for the cruise line to hold tours for onboard booking. If you were a couple, then there is a tiny potential of getting on a wait list once you embark,,, but with a family of 8, you need to look for another tour.

We tried to book the 1st evening we were able to.... There may have been a few spots, but not 8

  2. Hi, We are a family of 8 on the Bliss in August. I have tried searching, no luck...

All of the excursions we are interested in are listed as sold out, this incudes outside vendors, Viator, etc..

My question is, can we still book when we get on the ship? I know they hold back dining reservations, is it the sane with excursions?

If not, I noticed when you get off the ship in various ports the are tour operators. Has anyone done these type of tours?

Thank you for your advice 🙂

  3. We will be going on a Viking Rhine river cruise next year . My current camera is a Sony A6000 with a Sony 55-210 lens. I love this camera but it is heavy!

Any suggestions as to what will take great pics and video but would be a lighter weight. Would getting a lighter wide angle lens help?

I broke the original lens that came with the camera.

    Thank you for your help!

  4. This is what I do... When I am ready to sit down, and of course every chair has a hat, book, one flip-flop on it, I sit at the end of the chair. Usually some one will yell at me "that chair is taken". I politely inform them that I will be happy to move when the person gets there BUT....If it is more than 30 minutes, I move the articles to another chair or ask the staff to move it.

    Works every time!!! ;p

  5. I cannot seem to find out if Platinum level get you apriority when booking the specialty restaurants.

I just booked a cruise leaving in 3 weeks. I tried to makeonline reservations for Dining but all of the Specialty restaurants do not haveany time slots before 9:30pm.

Should I wait until I am on board and try and reserve anearlier time? Will the concierge help even though we are in a regular balconycabin, not a suite?

We have not cruised in years, way before you could reserveon line up to 90 day prior…
