We started dropping our NCL Escape cruise vlogs from our cruise in December 2019. Feel free to check them out.

It seems like everyone is doing cruise vlogs these days, even me 🙂 I should just cancel DirecTV since I end up watching most of the lives from Sunday through Thursday and watching all the other videos. Between that and editing my own vlogs, I have no time for regular television. Can't remember the last time I actually turned on the DirecTV box!

This would be news to me as well! Hey Taziar Travels! I love your channel 🎉
Thanks! Been watching your videos too. We just came back from Cancun, so once we are through the cruise vlogs, I will get started on those. I still have some footage from a five night trip to Orlando that I still haven't touched.

I didn't think Haven ever opens to non-Haven guests ... ever. (unlike Carnival Havana)
I could be wrong about that but that is the way I understand it.
Guess I didn't miss anything then! Perhaps I was confusing it with Havana. Haven Havana, not easy to keep them straight.

Yes, you too. I didn't know your screen name on Cruise Critic until now.
Besides meeting you a few times I seen you filming everywhere on the ship. I think you shot every square inch of it. 🙂
Not quite every inch. After getting home I realized we never went to Haven after it opened to everyone in the evenings. Also never again saw Spice H20 after embarkation day. I am sure there is a couple other places I missed here or there too.

We have started vlogging with our last cruises. B2B on the NCL Bliss and RCCL Allure of the Seas. I have committed to a new video every Tuesday but I may try to get out more than that. With a full time job and other travel, finding the time to edit isn't easy. Here to our first NCL Bliss vlog. Look for the next video to drop Tuesday at 7:00pm ET.
It was also nice to meet you on the Bliss Carl. 🙂

Hopefully not tapatalk... that app just freezes on me. I only use the forums app too...

If they are going to Xenforo, it supports Tapatalk. Not sure what "the forums app" is that you are referring to?

Hopefully they are moving to Xenforo, this current forum software is awful.

I know this is an old thread, but for YouTube, many use Epidemic Sound. $15 a month and you can use all their music in any video on your channel. One subscription is needed per channel, so if you have several channels it would be $15 each per month.

We have six of us currently booked at Little French Key for December, while I suspect they will be operating then, it doesn't seem like this is someplace we now want to go. Our deposit is fully refundable and now we are looking at other options. We are doing Mr Sanchos in Cozumel on the same cruise, so a beach club or all inclusive thing really isn't something we are looking for. We were looking at some possible private boat charters that seem like they would be about the same price or less than the six of us booked at LFK.
Does anyone have any recommendations for possible private or small group charters with a captain?

My wife buys the small pill bags that you can get at the pharmacy and peels the Rx sticker off the bottle and places it on the bag and puts the amount of pills she needs for the trip in each bag. So if there are any questions, all the details are there. She then takes a weekly organizer to use while traveling.

Carl, I think you have some bad channel links in there. When I click on some of them, Sharon at Sea for example, it doesn't work. I think they have changed their channel URLs to use a Custom URL and the old standard YouTube URLs don't work any longer.

Through inside information I happen to know that the site is about to see huge improvement with the investment of new filming equipment and music starting with the upcoming Europe videos, which include the Breakaway Baltic cruise (Denmark, Estonia, Russia, Finland, Sweden, and ship tour)
What camera equipment have you invested in? We just bought a Canon EOS M50 to use, replacing a Sony FDR X3000 that we were using to vlog with. Of course, we have other cameras from GoPro to Canon 80D, but the GoPro isn't any different than the Sony and the Canon 80D is way to big for a vlog camera. Considered the G7X, but I don't like the lack of an external microphone input. The new M50 has that and the same sensor as the 80D. I haven't done any cruise vlogs yet, but have been posting vlogs of our other land based trips.
Also, have you looked in to Epidemic Sound? A great resource for music (sorry Carl) for content creators on YouTube.

I don't think I haven't seen this one listed here yet.

I looked at British Airways site and as I understand it it doesn't cost very much to change the date, unless I want to change to a date with higher fares.
The problem is that if my cruise is cancelled I don't want to change my flights, I want to cancel them! No refund!
True, they will only give the $300 if you book another cruise on the Sky. It seems that they are still doing 4 day sailings but instead of all 4 day, they are alternating 4 and five day. There is some Cuba cruises in there too. At least for February 2019. I have also learned that the 10% discount is only if you book another cruise on the Sky. No other ships. It seems they want to force people back on to the Sky in order to refill the empty ships since they changed the schedules only 7-10 months out.
Also if you prepaid gratuity at a lower daily price, when you rebook that lower price isn't protected and you now have to pay the new daily gratuity prices.
-
Incorrect. It is $300 PER PERSON which is a normal international change fee. You could provide a receipt if the fee was more than $300 PER PERSON and NCL usually will reimburse it.
This might be older as I can't see a date on it from TPG. But it looks like the legacies charge $200 where most of the low cost carriers are less than that.

The reason for the $300 change allowance is because that is usually the standard change fee charged by airlines for two people. $150 per ticket.

Wireless earphones. Invest in some. Then play it as loud as you want.
Everyone stays happy.
The other people in the party won't be happy because they can't hear the music. This doesn't work well for a small group.

I am not sure what point you are trying to make with the link. The link actually contradicts your prior statement. From the link regarding Florida;
Notes on the Florida Seller of Travel
Okay, there’s a trend. But just because we like to geek out on this, here’s a few exemptions for FLA SOT if you’re with a host:
-
Act for or on behalf of a seller of travel that is operating in compliance with Sections 559.926-559.939, Florida Statutes, the Sellers of Travel Act; AND
-
Have a written contract with the seller(s) of travel listed above (please provide us a copy of the contract); AND
-
Do not receive a fee, commission or other valuable consideration directly from the purchasers of travel or travel related services; AND
-
Do not at any time have any un-issued ticket stock in my possession; AND
-
Do not have the ability to issue tickets, lodging or vacation certificates, or any other travel documents.
When working with a Host Agency, one would meet all of the above criteria to have an exemption for the license.

BTW...They are not travel agents. In Florida you have to be licensed. Just saying!
How do you know that they are not possibly licensed? It is true that Florida requires travel agents to be licensed. However, they use a host agency that carries the license in those states where it is required. They then basically work as an independent contractor to the host agency. How else do you think they book all those group cruises? All bookings are made through the name of the host agency.

If this was during the day, I probably wouldn't have complained. We often bring a wireless speaker on vacation, though we don't blast it. It is vacation after all and it isn't like you are sailing on Holland America or Cunard. This is a mainline cruise line.

If you book a Boardwalk Balcony, you get two soda packages included.

The room you book at harbourside must be designated to allow six people in order to get six wristbands. Most lock offs are for 4 ppl. Make sure you are paying for a premium room that allows six ppl. You would need a 2 bedroom Villa for 6 ppl.
Yes, I am well aware of the occupancy requirements. We have booked a 2BR that has an occupancy of six.

I have six people going for only $210. That is only $35 per person. It helps to own a Vistana timeshare and able to book at Harborside Resort at Atlantis that comes with access to Atlantis.
Random Question

Posted
I know this is a pretty old question, so not sure if you found your answer. For my videos, I use a Canon M50 camera. It is pretty small and compact. I doubt your CoolPix would give you good enough image quality and Samsung certainly isn't a name I really hear when talking about video cameras. They may still make camcorders, but most YouTube creators don't use a camcorder.
A few other good options
DJI Pocket 2 - This would be great for the ports and while out on deck. It just doesn't do all that great in low light.
Canon G7X Mark II
Realize that recorded video takes up a lot of space, so you will want removal SD/Micro-SD cards for your cameras. Don't rely on the internal memory, at it will prove insufficient.
